Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This info helped me be SO prepared for my first Roo. It is def a must read. Some of my key items were small bottles of hand sanitizer to use after using the port-a-potties in Centeroo, lots of water (used not only for drinking but teeth brushing and hand washing), and a sheet to hang from our sun shade to block the sun from whatever angle it was coming in from. Also, be ready to jump out and set up camp ASAP when you park to save plenty of room. Practice setting up ur tent before you go b/c you do NOT want to learn in the hot TN sun fighting for inches with other Rooers. And get to know your neighbors.
As far as getting out goes, forget it. We managed to leave early last year but only because we were 3 cars from the road and had lots of extra beer and jello shots to bribe our neighbors with. Because people camp behind their cars, they have to uproot their whole camp to let you out and thats usually not an option.
this is indeed a great informative thread and one of the great things about inforoo. one suggestion from me: covered dry ice in the bottom of your cooler will save you from buying and hauling icebags all weekend.
so how cold are we talking when people say it gets cold at night? I'm coming down from Winnipeg and it's -35 C (which is like -31 F). Last year at Coachella I was warned to bring warm clothing for the night, but I found when the sun went down and everyone was putting on their long pants and long sleeved shirts, I was just getting comfy in my shorts.
So are we talking around the 50-60 degree range for overnight?
Yeah, maybe 50, but I'll let others with more knowledge answer that. I had five blankets last year and put a shirt over my head for warmth and to block out noise and light. Also, there's always a morning dew, so your pillows are wet when you roll over etc, which is always strange if you're not used to camping.
I thought the pricing was kinda ridiculous... maybe I'm just cheap? $4 for a slice of pizza, $10 for a huge burrito, $6 for a beer, $4 for a soda. You're better off spending your money on $1 grilled cheese and $2 margaritas on Shakedown.
I guess reasonable is a relative term. You could be spending waaaay more than that at other festivals. I'm expecting things to cost about what they would at a stadium or arena. Maybe slightly cheaper.

My general feeling about the prices is that if a price seems really high, order one for two people. Generally speaking the prices are pretty reasonable (I thought so, at least) so if something seems expensive chances are it's also HUGE. I split an order of chicken fingers and fries with my friend one time because it was kinda pricey and it was definitely enough for both of us.

I ate 2 slices of pizza each day ( I ate breakfast each day at home before driving in) - that equals $8 a day on food for me And it was really really good pizza!
I wasn't really hungry because of the heat, plus I would just lose track of time and forget about food because there is so much going on. Right outside Centeroo you can find the really cheap food like the $1 grilled cheese also so you can get food cheap without trying to hard.
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "
I am new, and this will be my first time... What is Shakedown??? I keep seeing it pop up but not sure what it is...
It is a street full of vendors that have bought permits from Bonnaroo to set up in the GA camping area in a designated location to see their food, clothing, jewelry and what not.

Yay! My first Inforoo post. I'm so excited for June. ;D
So, my question is, can you come and go to your campsite whenever you want? Or do they not allow people to do that, to help prevent theft? Because after a few days of minimal sleep, 90 degree weather and constant noise, I imagine at some point I'll want to rest up so I have energy for all the late-night shows.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

$4 for pizza/soda and $6 for beer seems to be about right, compared to other festivals that ive been to

We are a couple and would like to bring a ten by twenty tent wanted to know if there would be a fuss if ten was used for our aerea and ten for chill aerea?
A 10x20 should be okay. Only once (out of 5 Roos) did we have a space that would have been a problem. If your spot is very small just talk with your neighbors and offer to share some chill space.
