Holy schnikees! I just went all the way back 7 pages and realized it's not SUNDAY brunch (sorry, my mind is still stuck in the non-Roo Monday go to work, Sunday go to brunch world).
So, I will be by with some of that Bloody mix to share, on Friday...yeah that's it, Friday!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I will try to bring a specialty from Cincinnati.......either some unique pastries from a local German bakery, or goetta sausage. If it's the goetta, I will need some help from our grill chefs!
OK, HELP!! I want to bring something but I can't decide what to bring!!! ??? Suggestions??? I'll have a small stove and a microwave so actual cooking is an option if I don't get too fancy ;D
Anyone have a craving for something not already on the menu??

A microwave? You must be in an RV, then.....with all the food that's already being brought, perhaps the biggest contribution might be the use of the stove/microwave.

There is a thing in the freezer section you can get called monkey bread - kinda like sweet/sticky rolls - but they are quick and easy in the microwave or the stove - that might be an idea?

With all this food, extra napkins and baby wipes might come in handy. If you're really up for food, cheese and crackers'll be a good choice for cleansing the palette between courses.
Ohhh, that Monkey Bread stuff is really good! I can do that!! Great idea!! Sign me up for that! ;D
And yes, I'll be doing GA RV....and I'll be happy to offer up the stove or microwave for use for Fri. morning to reheat or whatever....we'll work out the logistics.....
EDIT: LOL! I'll def have extra baby wipes and paper towels/napkins! I"ve already been stocking up on those! I'll bring those as well!

Oooh, what are those anise cookies called??? But I think they are only at Christmas....the ones that are really hard and are made with stencils.... Don't guess Cincy Chili spaghetti w/cheese would go over well at Breakfast huh???? I got addicted to that stuff when I was travelling all the time
See I knew - you being from the South - you would know what I was talking about - not sure they have the stuff up north
HAA! Yep, if it has sugar and fat.....us Southern gals know ALL about it! What is it, the four major southern food groups...sweet, sour, salty and au gratin?

If anyone attending the brunch that lives around north alabama, wanting to brush up on their cooking can swing by my house and cook me some breakfast. I'm hungry!!

Cincinnati chili is a love/hate thing......and outsiders don't always "get" it. I think that comes with their expectations of what chili is "supposed" to be. I could bring that, too......just need a way to heat it up.....

Springerle is a type of cookie from Baden-Württemberg,Germany with an embossed design made by pressing a mold onto rolled dough and allowing the impression to dry before cooking. The cookies are traditionally white and anise-flavored.
Molds are traditionally carved from wood, although plastic molds are also available.
