Oooh, what are those anise cookies called??? But I think they are only at Christmas....the ones that are really hard and are made with stencils....
Springerle is a type of cookie from Baden-Württemberg,Germany with an embossed design made by pressing a mold onto rolled dough and allowing the impression to dry before cooking. The cookies are traditionally white and anise-flavored.
Molds are traditionally carved from wood, although plastic molds are also available.
THAT'S IT!! RIGHT ON THE MONEY MEG! KARMA! You sound like Alton Brown
"Stealing? How could you?! Haven’t you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What’s-his-name? We live in a society of laws. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughin’, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. Where was I? Oh yeah -- stay out of my booze."
Anyone from the South (or North) like Tomato Gravy on their biscuits?
From the South, and yes I love tomato gravy on my biscuits
Good - Boz will make tomato gravy for brunch then for the biscuits - he said "no one but me is gonna eat it" I told him there would be others - if you make it - they will come - LOL
Mac - tomato gravy is made with diced tomatos instead of sausage - basically diced tomatos, salt, pepper, flour and a little water, with a little bacon drippins or sausage drippins for flavoring
shhhhh - I don't really like cilantro but will eat it - and not being from the South originally - I don't like tomato gravy (that being why Boz makes it) I am more of a sausage gravy type of gal

i'm southern all the way but i've never heard of tomato gravy. i love tomatoes tho. i only know gravy that is flour/milk/salt/pepper/sausage grease... put that on biscuits, mmmmm good. heck, you can put gravy on just about everything
UGH! I despise cilantro! That stuff is nasty. And apparantly someone thought it would be cool to mix it with lime (which I also dislike) and put it in everything Mexican.
