I've had long hair for every Roo I've been too and never been too much of an issue. It does get hot and much nastier than short hair but whatever it's really not a big deal. Just bring hair bands to pull it back if you want and keep some water on hand if you're like me and hate feeling sweaty hair all over your face.
<-----dreads here dont have to concerning myself with washing or styling
Personally, I think everyone still has to wash, regardless of hair style. I've had really long hair, and a shaved head. If I had to choose between the two extremes, shaved head no doubt about it. Me and my friend are probably shaving our heads right before leaving as part of the ritual, and for ease of keeping clean. Only caveat I'd offer to someone doing similar: put sunscreen on your head frequently. It's not used to seeing the sun.
I do wash my dreads I should have been more specific I wont need to concern myself with washing or styling at roo!!

ok this is one of my annual threads but...if you go to hairworld in nashville... you can get this cool attachment to the hoses in the water stations. you just hook it up and for under 2 bucks you have a shower head with a hose on it. its endlessly wonderful for hair or feet. in the off season it doubles for a great tool for dog washing. GET ONE
To piggy back the last post, you can also use an old garden hose that ruptured. Cut about sIx feet of length from the nozzle attachment then you have a hose that will attach to the faucets in the free wash stations.
I usually wear a medium hair length during the year but tend to cut it shorter around Roo. If it is to short to put in a ponytail then I make sure I keep it back with a bandana. If nothing else, that keeps it out of my face (which I hate). Just my opinion on the matter.
