I'm all about the Jager......hells yeah......but tequila would just knock my ass out!
Tequila is one of my favorite liquors just because of the energy rush.. there are some liquors that make you want to chill on the couch.. Tequila is definately more on the crazy side of things. However.. its one of those drinks where one bad experience is more than enough to turn folks off to it.
please somebody bring some bloody marys with a nice little garden variety to put inside them. you know, like some celery, olives, cucumber spear, etc. that be beautiful in the morning.
i don't like whiskey and/or bourbon in the hot sun. i find that it burns me alive.

I slit the sheet. The sheet I slit and on the slitted sheet I sit.
Bloody Mary's are the perfect breakfast drink, either that or a good dark beer personally. However, for the afternoon/evening time i've become a big fan of tequila and tonic with some lime juice. Tonic water to keep you hydrated, tequila to make you crazy. Perfect combo.
I can't believe someone suggested the "Gorilla Fart." We went out for a friend's birthday and the bartender made us 3 of those, in a warm glass with no ice and all three of us nearly puked simultaneously. Pure evil.
I'm with you farmerben; I'm planning on starting my Bloody Mix two days before to allow the ingredients to become well acquainted...then I plan to offer some to my neighbors to start the process all over again. Plus, a little shot of that tasty potion in a Negro Modelo is a nice change of pace from Guinness. With those and the choice of: vodka, gin or tequila for the Bloody booze, it should work out nicely. Oh, and plenty of water: staying hydrated is the key.

Do they sell mixed drinks in Centeroo or outside of Centeroo? My sister doesn't drink beer but loves wine coolers and mixed drinks. I'm wondering what she could drink while inside Centeroo if all they sell is beer?
I'm pretty sure that Jack Daniels has had a tent in centeroo where they sell things like their alcoholic lemonade. Not my thing so can't be more specific. In the tent city there are PLENTY of makeshift bars. They do quite good business w/ Bloody Mary's in the morning.
I think there was a stand where you could get 10 jager bombs for $5. Or was it 5 jager bombs for $10? I can't recall which one.

IMHO, gin and grapefruit juice > Bloody Mary's for morning time mixed drink. Give it a whirl.

Care to share your best BM recipe?
The reason I ask, is that I recently found out that my pirate name is [glow=red,2,300]Bloody Mary Kidd[/glow] and in light of this, I find I MUST bring some Bloody Marys along with me. ;D ;D
Another question I have for everyone... do you prefer V-8 or plain tomato juice as the base juice?
Mixing drinks ruins perfectly good alcohol. Why have a Jack and Coke when you can enjoy a Jack and Jack? The most mixing I do with my alcohol is by adding ice, and I still feel like a stinking communist whenever I do.
Last year I just had Jager and Redbull, and Jack and coke. That's all we brought, I think this year I'm gonna bring a liter of whiskey, a handle of Cuervo, and I will need to bring some Captain Morgan's, and 2 cases of Ginger Ale.
a great morning hangover drink; vodka, oj, and cran. totally refreshing and makes that polka band in your head go away fast. i think its called a madras in bar lingo.
2 Bottles of V8 2 Bottles of Clamato (to thin it out and make it more drinkable..plus, I was originally from MA, so whaddya gonna do?) 3-4 tablespoons of horseradish (I like it hot) 5-6 dashes of Jack Daniels Tipsy Steak Sauce (my secret ingredient, till now) some celery seed some hot sauce (your choice, I go habanero) crack some fresh ground pepper and add a little kosher salt squeeze a couple of lemons in there and let it sit for a day or two....
Then just add booze, a celery stalk and prepare for your day.
Hope you enjoy and feel free to drop by and sample some of mine!

Luv to stop by Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yikes, I just noticed where you're from. I lived on Folly Beach for about 5 years around 1980. I tended a music bar there called the Dancing Bear. I know you are from MA, but the Dancing Bear legend lives on... It was in a building that used to be right next to where McKelvin's surf shop is now.

I have a great way of bringing in alcohol. Get a rain jacket that can be compressed into a small rectangle and, prior to packing it, put your container/ stash/ whatever suits you in the pocket. Then, put the jacket in your camel back/ bag. This is already a great thing to keep with you because it is small and light enough to carry but also very useful since the rain at 'Roo can be unexpected; however, it is even more useful because you can use it to avoid risks of getting caught with outside drinks when going into Centeroo.
This always works for me, and not just at 'Roo. My rain jacket is a Columbia that I bought at Bass Pro Shops for $30. You can probably get it for a couple $ cheaper now.

I've never had an issue with my camelback being checked, however if you choose to walk in with it full, turn the bladder upside down and the hose will remain empty
