I thought it might be a good idea to come up with a list of mixed drinks that work well at roo..
My favorite camping mixer is rum and tang, or whiskey rum and tang... the best bit about this one is the main ingredient is water(which you are already carrying while camping anyway)
It also doesn't have to be cold to be good and is best served STRONG in a standard sized nalgene

Along the same lines, I have a question.
Do they sell mixed drinks in Centeroo or outside of Centeroo? My sister doesn't drink beer but loves wine coolers and mixed drinks. I'm wondering what she could drink while inside Centeroo if all they sell is beer?
I've never been, one of the vets can probably answer this better, but I'm pretty darn sure they will...
Also, a good friend of mine fashioned a camelbak tube and mouthpiece so it would attach to the bag inside a box of wine... thus, the bag of wine is extracted from its box and placed into a small trashbag full of ice which is then tied and placed in a camelbak.. and then the crazy begins.(I'd recommend having someone with you who actually has one full of water)

I'm pretty sure that Jack Daniels has had a tent in centeroo where they sell things like their alcoholic lemonade. Not my thing so can't be more specific. In the tent city there are PLENTY of makeshift bars. They do quite good business w/ Bloody Mary's in the morning.

I'm pretty sure they had frozen drink vendors inside Centeroo for margaritas and daquiris. Outside of Centeroo many people set up makeshift bars and sell any number of mixed drinks for very fair prices. Of course you can always bring your own as long as it is in a plastic bottle or hidden well upon entry to the campgrounds.
I only saw the Jack Daniels "coolers", you know, the Lynchburg Lemonade, and Downhome Punch and the like, inside centeroo. that doesnt mean there aren't other place. I do not ever remember seeing what you would consider a "bar" with real mixed drinks and such. Out in the camping area, however, you can find pretty much any mixed drink you want, AND it will be a lot cheaper that centeroo drinks!

I can tell you definitively there were no drinks with liquor being sold in Centeroo. You could get the Jack Daniels "coolers", as dmbfanintn said, but that's a "malt beverage" (whatever that means). You won't find bourbon, whisky, tequila, vodka, etc. drinks being sold in the officially sanctioned establishments.
I pulled this off of the Burning Man site. Not only does it list some recipes for mixed drinks, but it also has a list of tons of good stuff that comes in cans!

We were pretty simple last year, we had Milwakuee's Best beer and Evan Williams Whiskey (Lots of it). Needless to say, we will not be repeating the same this year, as those two, Evan Williams in particular, were very mean to us.
Anyone reccomend a particular type of plastic container for liquor? I'll definately be buying some stuff that comes in glass and will just repour it i guess. The stuff that comes in plastic bottles just won't do it.

nothing wrong with a little capt. morgans! comes in a plastic bottle and tastes just fine. great with coke or sprite. and you already have ice! (in cooler) mmmmmm.... morgies.
Half gran marnier and half bourbon, on the rocks, or a chilled shot or martini. These are really tasty, but WARNING! they will eff you up quickly. Trust me, I am a bartender.
I don't know how to quote a preceding message, but that Burning Man list posted by Joga is excellent--and hilarious! Thanks!
I'm thinking about gin-based drinks because they're clear and won't show up in the Nalgene or wherever...maybe I can bring gin and tonic in Nalgene, with limes as a "snack"....
