We made it down around 9:45 P.M. and saw almost all of the Dubconcious set. It was pretty cool. We would have like to have gone earlier but we couldn't get our s--t together. Did you go?

all of this talk about bloody maries made me think of sangria. Has anyone tried sangria at 'roo? I think that would be a nice morning kick-off one day of the weekend.
and I recently heard that alcohol boosts the antioxidant power of fruit!

actually had a bucket of sangria, and I'm thinkin about bring the same thing this year. If you overload it with fruit and after letting the fruit marinate take some of it out, put it in a ziploc, and place it in the cooler. You'll have a snack with a buzz
It's simple,... Plenty o thick, spicy top shelf Bloody Marys in the a.m., since its so damn hot you can't sleep late. When leaving camp for centeroo, nothing but water, and a couple beers there---- late night,... back at camp,.. Makers Mark to bring you down. Mmmmmmmmmmm heaven
I will bring Pirate Juice to share, who's recipe is strictly confediental but everyone seems to love it.
Caution: Side effects may include relaxation and cheerfulness, but further consumption can lead to blurred vision and coordination problems. Intoxication frequently leads to a lowering of one's inhibitions, and intoxicated people will do things they would not do while sober, often ignoring social, moral, and legal considerations. After excessive drinking, unconsciousness can occur.

Vanilla vodka (I like Absolut) and Diet Coke is amazing. I'd rather drink white wine though. Is it just me, or does two glasses of white wine= drunker than two glasses of anything else. Myabe i'm just a lightweight girl...
- Jager and Redbull is a fav of mine - Jager on the rocks - Grey Goose Gimlet on the rocks (Goose and Roses lime juice) - Goose and Tonic - EXCELSIOR LEMONADE - Old Grandad and Lemonade (Equal parts) - Long Island Iced Tea - Includes all of the clear liquors (gin, rum, vodka, tequila and triple sec)..add about 3/4 of the glass with liquor, add sour mix almost to the top, and float just a little bit of coke on the top. Don't put a ton in. I've seen bartenders put a ton of Coke in, and they had no idea what they were doin) - Planters Punch - A ton of rum (Myers Dark + whatever other rums), Grenadine, and OJ - MOE-jitos - Muttle a ton of mint in a glass with simple syrup (water and sugar mixed together into liquid form), lots of rocks... fill about 3/4 of the glass up with rum/simple syrup/mint, and top the rest off with club soda - Rocky Mountain Mother F*ckers - Soco, Amaretto, Lime - Soco and Lime shots - MOE-garitas - I make the best Moe-garitas ever. Patron Gold, a ton of Grand Marnier, a bit of Cointreau, sour mix, a bit of OJ, and float some more GM on top... with a fine sea salt for the rim

I took a Margarita bucket - premixed and frozen - it stayed slushy all weekend and was very refreshing I know it doesn't make for the best Margarita but it was easy and cold.

I'd rather have a hangover than drink tomato juice. That sh!t is as nasty as it gets!
Once you mix the two together you can't taste the tomato juice anymore. It mellows out your stomach and gets your body use to alcohol again. So, I'm guessing you don't like Bloody Marys either?
What a silly question about booze but in Canada we have bottles of liquor that are sold in PLASTIC bottles. Not all and really they are few and far between but you can always find them. Doesn't United States sell plastic bottled Liquor? I had planned on buying my vodka and whatever when I got through to the States.
you can bring in the liquor in the plastic containers - if you can find what you want. a police officer friend of mine reminded me that if you open a glass container and put the contents into another plastic container and then have it in your car - its an open container even if you are not drinking it. he said no one would likely ever actually nab you for it but if a cop was mad and wanted to be mean he "could" get you for an open container violation. i didnt know this so i i thought i would throw that in the mix. it seems like if it were in your closed trunk of your car and your driving down the road that it would not be open container but oh well. i was going to try putting something into a plastic container til i heard that. as for mixed drinks at roo. i leave my stuff at my camp area and have a couple of drinks there then i head out to roo. this limits my drinking and forces me to come back and rest from time to time. i really was happy that i didnt get too wasted last year but then again i was camped right across from roo entrance. if i were further this idea would have worked well. soulmate - its cool you are coming from canada - what area are you in and what time will you pull into the area? are you going to be around nashville wed night? if so i think there may be a group getting together.......which reminds me ...everyone......we need to organize a wed night outing in nashville for anyone interested...should i do that now and under what board?
My understanding of open container laws is that if it's in your trunk, not in the passenger cabin, you're OK - even if it's been transferred to another container.
