I plan on mixing several two liters for the weekend and putting them in the cooler in the bed of the truck. Now I just need to get a hollywood stunt man who can retrieve and replace them for me as we are going down the interstate.

Bury them deep in your cooler! If you're doing the dry-ice thing, put the bottles under it! No one is going to f*ck with dry-ice to look at the bottom of your cooler! Just be careful when you go for the bottle at camp! Dry-ice can be some dangerous stuff!
Last year we drank vodka & vitamin water. Sooooooo gooooood...definitely nice when it's blazin' hot out...and good for you, too! Plan on doing the same this year.
soulmate - its cool you are coming from canada - what area are you in and what time will you pull into the area? are you going to be around nashville wed night? if so i think there may be a group getting together.......which reminds me ...everyone......we need to organize a wed night outing in nashville for anyone interested...should i do that now and under what board?
Hey Bell- We are arriving into Murfreesboro at about 11pm central time. We will be on the road since about 5:30am from our home. We are open to suggestions!! We are coming from Clost to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
About the alcohol, I thought you were allowed open liquor in your vehicle in Tennessee? I was reading a thread that only the driver of the vehicle can't be drunk.
Why does everyone hide their booze before Entering Roo? I thought we were allowed to bring in alcohol? Or is it just Glass bottles that everyone hides to get in?
Ok for Bluesfest, what we do is bring a cooler of icewater, but before we head into Bluesfest, we dump a little bit of water out and pour in vodka. Then we also bring in The Nestea or Crystal Light single packets of juice crystals. Its not some fancy cocktail but it gets us through the day without having to purchase hundreds of dollars of WATERED down drinks. Crystal light makes a great Lemon-Lime and Nestea has now come out with the single packet of Summer Peach. (HATE to sound Fruity guys) but it works when you want a drink!
At the camp, I'll be wickedly twisting up Caesars (which Americans don't drink like us Canadians) and I LOVE!!! FOr the first time travelling back on American Airlines, I had a Bloody Mary. IT WAS WICKED! Definitely be buying some margarita mix also!

As far as open containers go, TN state law technicaly allows it. The vast majority of county laws do not allow ANY open containers of alcohol in the car. It's better to be safe than sorry. Besides, alot of cops are just looking for any reason to pull you over around Bonnaroo time, especially if you have a vehicle crammed full of camping gear (or an RV). Out of state (or out of country) license plates can also make you a target from what I hear. Glass, of any kind, is not permitted on the farm (alcohol, food containers, etc...). So, that's why so many people are talking about having to hide things. Roo security can be pretty laid-back sometimes but, they do not tolerate ANY glass whatsoever! They will confiscate it if they find it.

Confiscating Glass is a really good thing in my eyes. Never been to Roo but I have been to a tonne of festies and seen people blatently breaking bottles etc then the little children come along and get cuts on their feet or people like me who almost refuse to wear shoes (As soon as I get to the spot where I park myself to listent o tunes, the snadals are kicked off for the duration) Horray for not allowing glass. Good one on the festival organizers.
last year it was 7&7's for me, obviously just Seagrams 7 and 7-Up... Its a real good drink in the sweltering heat, but you do need to plop a few ice cubes in your cup, to make it most refreshing
"No glass" is a very small price to pay for a safer experience....I really appreciate being able to walk around with bare feet not worrying (as much) about broken glass on the ground!
