ditto... to the first... and I second the second (yeah that wasn't supposed to come out that way)... although mine isn't bare minerals it's minerology... but basically the same thing, talc free mineral powder... I went to a salon and they mixed it to match my skin tone... But I got the physicians formula virsion for the summer (cause I'm broke) and even though it's no longer the perfectly matched mix... it works just as well
So where do you get it? I don't wear a lot of makeup, esp in the summer, powder is about it. But that is what you're talking about right? Sounds perfect....

ummm i got my physicians formula powder at walgreens... pretty cheap too i think it was like 7 bucks for a big old thing of loose powder(it might have been on sale)... but i would advise buying a good brush too cause the one that comes with it sucks
Thanks! That's convenient, there's a Walgreen's right down the street from me. And I got conned into getting that Trish McEvoy crap a few years ago, that REALLY expensive crap with the ALL IMPORTANT *BRUSHES*...so I've got *BRUSHES* covered ;D (Don't ever go there, it is SO not worth it!! Sorry for anyone that really likes the stuff....or is gainfully employed by Trish McEvoy Inc...like my friend that conned me into the stuff....) I should be set....thanks for the heads up!

no prob... it's spf just like the more expensive stuff too... my face is bizarrely paler than the rest of me cause it always has that thin layer of sun shield on it... so don't laugh if i look kinda like a clown naturally
Don't worry, my face is usually ahead of the rest of my body cause I don't wear as much sunscreen as I should and I start going out with it uncovered first. So it's red before anything else is even uncovered! It looks better to have your face fair and let it catch up than vice versa I can asure you. Much less mass to catch up!!!
so i've done the impossible. i sewed my very first skirt. my very first anything actually. it's not much to look at but you bet your a$$ i'll be sporting it at roo. i just had to tell you guys b/c i was so proud of myself ;D ;D ;D
Super! I always wish I had time for clothing but alas I stick to quilts now. I hope to see you wearing it at Roo!!!!
it will be my first 'roo too. i'm so glad someone has started this topic. with regards to the footwear i was going to bring flipflops and a pair of rain boots. i really hate crocs. do you guys thin kthe ballet flat version could work? ???
You have to remember, you are going to be walking around outside in the mud/dirt/grass/gravel for four full days. Flip flops mey hurt your feet, and rain boots are usually not the most comfortable. Think about it, could you spend four days of constant walking in flip-flops? If so, more power to ya. But, I did it last year, and let me tell ya, your feet hurt, and your legs are more sore, too.

For the voluptuous ladies out there, I found these shorts that we could wear underneath those lovely skirts. It's that QuikWik stuff people are talking about, too!
^^^i agree, flip-flops are good for just chillin' at camp but not for the majority of the 'roo experience. I looooove my Teva's, rugged enough for the treks across gravel and dirt, they strap on securely so there's no slippage, plus mine are blue and purple which are my favorite colors I switch over to my chucks at night. I've found that switching up shoes helps with foot exhaustion.
ahh one more question. showers? one of my friends said that 'roo does have some showers but you have to pay. i'm assuming that this is a rumor. i was planning on just washing my hair via water bottle. this shouldn't be a problem, right?

Showers cost $10 and are only open from 6-9am or something like that. I'm not sure about VIP showers, though.
I plan on using a water bottle and some baby wipes for my showers. They also have these water stations that are free, and you can use those to shower with as well. I even bought a hose extension to screw into the ends of the faucets (they are threaded) and use to wash stuff as well.
For showers, in addition to baby wipes, I fill a bowl w/ water and take a whore's bath like they would've in pioneer days. Bring a bunch of washcloths, I use one on my face and another for everywhere else.
A cool wet cloth feels spectacular after a long hot day in the sun.
so the general consensus seems to be that Crocs are better than like Tevas or Keen sandals or the like? the straps broke on my Crocs but I also don't have any rugged sandals, so I've gotta buy something. have you seen the Crocs Offroad? they are superchunky in a good way with a velcro strap for the back. pretty cool. I still don't know what to bring for shoes though! normally I am a strict Dankso mary jane clog girl.
Hey Boomerang, I see you are from Michigan. We are taking the Blue Water Bridge over to the United States. How long does it take you to get to Roo? We have a hotel booked in Murfreesboro on Wednesday night........ I think we should be hitting Sarnia at about 2pm Eastern Standard Time
I plan to bring crocs for rain, Chacos and keds....and maybe a good pair of running shoes if my feet get REALLY exhausted. But my keds can usually do me for 24 good hours at a time....
