We brought one of those in 2010, that stupid thing barely made it 24 hours before it looked exactly like that! EZup all the way. Just remember to stake that quacker down! I watched one go blowing end over end on Saturday across TO.

We borrowed it from my dad and he bought it from somebody else so who knows how long that stupid thing had been circulating. We used it when we had a yard sale back when I was in high school and it held up great the whole time. When my fiance and I borrowed it for Bonnaroo, we had nothing but trouble with it, not to mention all pages of the instructions but one (with the instructions starting at step 3!) were gone. We tried looking it up on Google but it turns out that canopy was recalled and the company was long gone. One of the poles was bent and his mom had the brilliant idea of buying a wooden dowel and shoving it in there and then taping the connected poles together. It worked like a charm but we should have done it to the other poles as well. We needed so much help setting it up after we arrived on the farm and staking it down didn't help AT ALL. Luckily our neighbors on both sides let us anchor it to their canopies. It didn't start collapsing until late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. This is what it looked like when we woke up on Sunday. We just said fuck it and left it behind. I felt so bad about it but I had already hurt myself trying to cut the duck tape to take it down and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. At least I have an awesome scar.

We lucked out and had a ton of space right across from Pod 3. The car in front of us in line parked wide and we couldn't fit our two cars in the space left at the end of the row so we got to make our own new row. And the car that was in front of us just set up their camp to their side, giving us a lot more space than we expected. I was all ready for an epic land grab, too, haha. We had a big dome tent for my roommate and friend, and then the boy and I stayed on cots in an EZ-up covered in tarps. I had no problem sleeping until 10am every day (with earplugs and a sleeping mask), it got great airflow and was decently water tight when it rained. We also had a big screen room with a table and several chairs, and the inflatable astronaut, bob. It was a pretty rad setup for a bunch of first-timers
Friends of our camp were right next to the horses. We went to visit them on Thursday night. They had an awesome camp complete with a giant geodesic dome type jungle gym and a power converter that allowed us to run a blender off of their car battery. Mmmm icey margaritas. We only went the one night but we had a blast at their camp.
After surviving 2 Bonnaroos with zero shade we opted for a couple EZ ups and some tarp. We picked all this up at walmart on the way down and just kinda threw it together wednesday night around 1am. We planned on moving up to tent only but we lucked out and got camped in POD 2 with loads of extra room.
I was very proud of my set up for my first year. I'm excited for all of the things I have to add this year. You can't tell in the picture, but my tent fits three air mattresses. I just took a picture of my side.

That looks pretty awesome! Did it stay cool inside of your tent? That's what my main focus is this year, thinking about putting my tent under my ez up
It stayed extremely cool in my tent! I was able to sleep in until 11 (with ear plugs)! I'm bringing even more shade this year. I'm predicting horrible heat this year, and I want to spruce it up with colors and patterns.

Looks great! How many people is that tent supposed to fit? Also, it seems like you had a good amount of space. Were you camped in VIP, GA or tent only?
roro, Don't worry about it! You will for sure be able to fit your tent. Even if you're super squeezed in. If anything, and you need a little extra room, just very politely ask your neighbors. Maybe offer them a beer, too

I hope you are right! Thanks!
I saw on another thread that you are traveling from NC. We are, too! Winston-Salem.
