Enjoyed the camp only area again this year. That is my orange Hubba Bubba tent. Felt like I was at home with my air matress. After not finding Camp Inforoo Thursday morning I called "Corncat" and Justin and Holly I meet last year called back. Great to camp with them. (Inforoo turned out to be a three minute walk away) Neighbors attached their tarps to my shade tent. The only problem was one neighbor had some stuff snatched . Not good to have your stuff out in the open.

Yeah...it totally kicked ass...there were about 15 of us that could all gather in one spot...p.s. i think i saw you entering the "no cameras at tool" long VIP line in your tank top...
Camp RooSkew-- we had a friend nab the one next to us, parked their car perpendicular to the RV and took advantage with our gazebo area. Blackbeard flag and skeleton branded "Coachella" hung with care halloween-style. We were often seen atop the RV shouting, "Arrrr" at unsuspecting bathroom and shower walkers (you can see the showers in blue in the background). Note the Camp Inforoo marker proudly showing in the rear window.
Here's my campsite. I met a cool couple from Cali on the airport bus and set up net to them. That's the VIP tent right behind. I could actually see my flags from the back of the concert field at What Stage.
we ended up with a tarp between the two canopies and tarps off the canopies over the cars - it ended up to be a nice camp with lots of shade and a really big common area for 4 tents and 8 people

Here's ours. Likely the most Ghetto in VIP. It was our first year at Roo, and next time I think we'll bring an RV or at least some shade tent. On the bright side we were barely at our site
Our neighbours were cool though. They told us to take their shade whenever, and allowed us in their RV. Couldn't thank them enough at times.

Ha, fantastic! I walked by you guys a couple times, was wearing the Upright Citizen's Brigade t-shirt, which you complimented. I think me and my wife saw you guys right before and after Tool, and you said the view from atop your RV kicked ass!
We were really pleased with our location, especially since we didn't show up until about 4pm Thursday. We were perfectly between the catering tent and the bathrooms. We were Roobies, so we didn't plan out the campsite logistics very well... But we made up for it with tarps and have great ideas for next year.
Our campsite at night... We were asked by security to extinguish the tiki torches, but it looked cool anyway.
Being able to see the stage from our campsite definitely didn't suck.
plus I had shade all morning. I was in the far end of camp Austin Powers and I was not please Thursday to find myself a full 30 minutes from the arch, but after sleeping til 9:30 Friday I was literally a happy camper. I even slept until 10:30 on Saturday.
We had a really good site, although I misjudged the direction of E and W when we arrived, so the tent could have been cooler in the morning. Either way, that extra shade really made a huge difference in our comfort level, and fit perfectly with my tent. We were at the back of VIP E near the restrooms.
I have some other pictures but this is the only one online right now. I really need to go through all my photographs.
I am a big supporter of using rubbermaid bins like shown for packing. it kept things organized and there was no risk of things getting wet, and not a bunch of loose junk in the car. Plus, they become seating/tables in camp.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
Here's an aerial view on our camp. The 3 white things are the white truck and 2 white canopies. Yes, I know it's not a "real" view of our camp site but I thought it was cool anyway.
Did anyone see the RV in VIP that went all out? This is no joke. They had PLANTED flowers, a garden fense, hanging plants, astroturf, loungers, a grill, and, get this, a fountain! They had the best campsite I've ever seen.
