My officemate's friend had it done and said that it can make the spots almost permanently itchy. Like often one of her now-hairless legs will itch for no reason. She thinks it's still worth it (and I agree), but then it might be just her.
I just can't comprehend not having to shave my armpits. This is too much to take in.
I'd love to try it. My armpits would be the first thing to get done. It has to be better than waxing those things. Never, ever try waxing your pits. Ever.

Maybe I have a high pain tolerance but I've had it done twice and it was fine. I also have barely any hair growth after waxing so that is nice

I should have said never do it yourself. My problem was I did it myself. Not only was it a mess, I took a bit of skin off with the hair. Raw, bleeding pits are no fun. Also, I'm a klutz and a mess in general. I should know better that to do something like that on my own.
Interesting. Only $99? The pits would be the only thing that I would consider because I am not particularly hair and what I have isn't that dark. For 99 bucks, I will have to think about that!!!
I went to Target/Marshalls yesterday and proudly resisted the urge to buy dresses and other fun summer stuff! I bought lamps and a basic black pair of pants to get me through this middle weight that I am at. Give me another two months and I am going to do a shopping spreeeeee!!!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Not going to go shopping for summer dresses today...not going shopping for summer dresses.....not going shopping for summer dresses.....And there I go, to buy summer dresses...

Mayo - have you experienced anything like this?
Nope - no itching at all. No spots, no blistering, no nothin'. Literally. Ha!
And - only one session ("session" is really a stretch, i was literally there for 5 minutes, only 2 of which were under an active laser...) into my pits, it's 2 days later and I notice a difference. (I'd like to preface the next statements by saying I'm mildly embarrassed for this info to be broadcasted on the net, but its for the good of the GFT, and I want all my friends to be hairless.) Y'all, I normally shave the pits every day in the morning, and by 6 or 7, i need to re-do if im going out... 5-oclock pit-shadow, if you will. Yesterday I did just that in the morn, proceeded to have a hellacious 12-hour day mostly on the interstate, was not home until 10am this morning, and when in the shower... I raised my razor to my underarm and stopped. NO SHADOW?!?! What the?! .....Needless to say, I was ecstatic. ;D
BONZ - I also am suppressing the urge to dress shop! Im in a middle phase too, I had to go with a randar dress I haven't worn in a while for work today, it's a little old, but I'll deal with it for a couple months until I can SPREEEEEE!!!! WOO!

Random question, but a very valuable one. I'm super fair skinned and a redhead. I was totally smothered in sunscreen last year (spf 50) applied probably 5-6 times each day, had a huge sun hat, mostly wore a wrap over my shoulders/chest and still managed to burn. Do any of you do a base tan before you go to Bonnaroo? We're planning to go again this year but I can't get burned the way I did last year, it was horrible.
I am a lfair skin redhead too! my first year I was all about sun screen afraid of getting burned. Last year I got a really good based tan going before bonnaroo and it helped so much with the sun and the heat. Base tans help!
With the weather we've been having in GA the base tans could start now! I wore a strapless dress the other day and got a really nice tan on my shoulders just sitting on the Starbucks patio for like 15 minutes.

I went to Target today....
I have a hard time getting bikini tops that fit (i'm 34D) and they actually had some that did and mix and match bottoms. I got a Converse bikini for under $40 which looks pretty good. They also had lots of cover ups that were strapless and very thin fabric - SO perfect for Roo. I got one in a peachy/orange color.

I can also vouch for the laser hair removal being super great. I'm 4 sessions in and barely ever shave anymore. I used a Groupon and upgraded to a full year/more coverage package. Best thing I've done for myself in a long time!
Mayo detailed it out very well, but if anyone has questions they're too embarrassed to post about, feel free to PM me
the best thing for a girl to have at bonnaroo is the pstyle!!!! i got it for my second roo last year and every time i used it i came out the biggest sales person for their company. "OMG i love the pstyle....youhave to get a pstyle"
if you were there last year you know how horrible the portapotties were and if you werent there be thankful and if your going this year be prepare for some horrible crap...literally
but the pstyle allowed me quick mostly clean trips to the bathroom and even one morning when i woke up about to pee myself and couldnt wait in line i was able to pull out my pstyle and find somewhere to go

Im pretty sure we talked about this PStyle earlier in this thread. I'm with you Clarity and DTree, I feel like I'd get it on myself, and also, where do you put that thing when you're done? in a ziploc baggie? In my camelbak? I feel like the room it would take up is more than me just carrying around my porto-pack of Clorox wipes/tp/cottonelles.
....given the nature of the item, it's too bad I can try one out, then return it if I didn't like it.

yes it has been mentioned before i just wanted to bring it back up
i felt the same way before i used it.....i started practicing using it in the shower before i used it for the first time at roo
and yeah i use it clean it with clorox wipes and put it in a baggie. i does use up some space but sooo worth it.....the portos were just so over flowing last year.....that plus i have this phobia of even hovering over all that stuff in the porto
its only $12 and made my bathroom experience at roo so much better last year
but to each their own though i just wanted to make sure that yall knew about it because i think it is great
and mayo you are soooo right i wish there was some way people could try it before they buy it
I bought a Pstyle at the 2007 Bonnaroo and it was a Godsend for the uber-nasty porta potties. I had Clorox wipes already, and would use one to wipe it down after use and then stored in a Ziploc baggie.
Since then... haven't used it as much. Have it down to a science where I use a Clorox wipe to clean the porta potty seat. The Pstyle is hard to handle when you have hands full of a bag, you're buzzed, it's hot, it's dark, etc. I just didn't feel coordinated enough for it 90% of the time. However, I still use the Pstyle a lot when doing other events like day fests, camping, etc.
The Pstyle is far better than alternatives sold at Campmor, etc. which don't allow for... heavy flow/breaking the seal/if you get my drift.

I have a GFT button, but would love a 2012 one! YAYA!
And I'm pretty sure I'd pee all over myself with a pstyle. Like all over myself. When I mentioned getting one, Ron said, "you know you're not coordinated" and just left it at that.

Not that this isn't a fine piece of plastic, but I only have one issue. I would only use if I was always peeing outside. If you are using in a porta-potty that means you have to stand there and look in that hole of ..well you all know what you looking at... at least peeing the good ol fashioned way you can (in this order) turn, hover and stare at the door blissfully unaware at the terribleness below.
LADIES! My sis sent me this: www.go-girl.com... It is the same thing as a P-style, but with a seal, it's medical grade silicone, and it's a "closed" piece... i.e. the P-style is open on top and I just have visions of not holding it straight and ...well you know. I also am intrigued by the fact that it's silicone, so you can like, use, rinse, fold up in a baggie or the tiny tube it comes in. Im all about folding shiz up so i can tetris it into my camelbak.

Have you looked at Overstock? The ones I saw aren't the most stylish but they definitely look functional. Saw one for less than $15 dollars

Well, ladies, I suppose I should introduce myself since I feel like I know all of you already! I just finished reading through this thread - yep, all of it. (It took me forever.) This year will be my very first Bonnaroo and I am super excited! I'm planning to sew and tie-dye in the next few weeks to get my outfits ready! My favorite find so far was this super cute halter-style tankini top that is a beautiful purple and is slightly ruffly around the top edges and has really pretty matching lace over the whole thing. I'm thinking it will look super cute with a skirt at 'roo! Anyways, nice to "meet" you ladies, thanks a ton for all of the awesome tips!
