American Eagle is having a 40% off everything in the store sale this weekend (online and in store)! I got a couple of cute tops. Just thought I would let you ladies know!
Welcome!! As for what is most comfortable, I think that really depends on the person. For me, I couldn't imagine wearing anything that was not cotton. But someone earlier in this thread mentioned that they like rayon! (I personally find synthetic fabrics make me sweat more)
And, as a girl, I always overpack for Roo and bring anything/everything I think I might want to wear. That way, it keeps my options open if something isn't working out.
Haha, It was probably me who mentioned rayon. I went to fashion merchandising school and learned waaaay more than necessary about textiles -
Here's today's lesson in rayon from wiki!
"Rayon is a manufactured regenerated cellulose fiber. Because it is produced from naturally occurring polymers, it is neither a truly synthetic fiber nor a natural fiber. Rayon is a versatile fiber and has the same comfort properties as natural fibers. It can imitate the feel and texture of silk, wool, cotton and linen. The fibers are easily dyed in a wide range of colors. Rayon fabrics are soft, smooth, cool, comfortable, and highly absorbent, but they do not insulate body heat, making them ideal for use in hot and humid climates"
Probably more than anyone cares to know, but I promise it's super comfortable and resists wrinkling!! It's also known as viscose if you see that on your label.

As for the jelly shoes Croce of all kinds ruin the arch of your foot, I find them unattractive and uncomfortable. Personally, I plan on sticking with canvas shoes and sandals unless it gets wet. I'm bringing some cotton dresses and three pairs of shoes (comfy boots, sandals and canvas flats) some shorts and loose fitting tops. I will most likely be LIVING in my bathingsuit top for most of the event which I am perfectly ok with.

My two purchases for this year's wardrobe have been super-dark-lensed wayfarer prescription sunglasses (sooo cute) and grey Sanuk shortys. The Sanuks, however, have not even been able to make it through a week of wearing to walk around campus (to be fair, my campus is huuuuge), so I'm not sure they'll make it all Roo. As a result, I'm bringing my pretty purple Crocs as back-up!
Starting to go through the closet and drawers this weekend and set aside the tanks and shorts (and maybe a skirt or dress!). Pretty sure I'm going to be side-eyeing the Old Navy website with all their sales alllll weekend. Hopefully I can resist.
Are Croc jellies more comfortable than the old jellies? I remember jellies gave me the worst blisters back in the day. . . .
I'm going on an Old Navy run this weekend, and I may even try to make something for myself (either a hip bag or a pair or shorts/pants). . . .can't believe it's coming so soon! I pretty much just have this weekend, because I'm checking out Nashville and Memphis for a few days before Bonnaroo.
yes! just a comfy as regular crocs, but waaaaaay cuter!!
They are NOT regular jellies...they are CROCS that LOOK like jellies. This is my 6th roo and Crocs are really my fav pic for shoe wear. I have tried Sanuks, Tevas, Keens, & Merrells and I like Crocs the best. I bring my rain boots & a pair of flip flops for around camp, but Crocs for any sort of long distance have been best for me.
I don't have any arch issues from wearing them, but then again I do not wear them on an every day basis.

i just bought some arch supports for those of you who have arch issues from standing. they wrap around your entire foot and place a pad directly under your arch. they arent ugly at all. it just looks like a black strap. when im moving or dancing im fine...but standing waiting for a show will kill my feet. im the one who posts that i wish i could wear old heels to roo cause i dont get arch pain in heels but im afraid id be flogged so ill try these arch supports

If Rayon works for you, that's cool with me! I prefer cotton personally, but everyone should wear whatever makes them comfortable!

I rocked the Glowbies last year! They were so much fun and I got lots of compliments. I will warn you that like most fiberoptic things, they are a bit fragile. I ended up with a fair amount of broken fibers, but it's really not a problem. The ends of the fibers are staggered anyway so the bright points of light at the end aren't all in one place, so it's not noticeable when they break.
In other news...girls, I think I had some sort of shopping breakdown today:
Oops. On the plus side, only half is Roo purchases - the other half is work clothes, which I am in desperate need of.

Sorry, double post - but I need your help!
I'd sort of like to get a new Camelbak, especially now that we'll be allowed to bring them in already filled. I was thinking of getting a non-Camelbak brand one from Walmart, but I wasn't crazy about the looks of them and was debating if I should just spring for a real one. But I'm really hesitant about buying one online when I can't get a good look at it and tell how big it is. I definitely want a fairly small one, I'm not a big backpack person in general and absolutely don't want a full size bag strapped to my back...but I'm looking at the small ones and some of them look like they might not have one large pocket, like they're divided into one pouch on top and one on the bottom, and I'm worried specifically about being able to fit a can of spray sunscreen in there.
So, can any of you ladies who have Camelbaks let me know which one you have and what the pockets are like / how much it holds? I'm sort of thinking either the Magic or the Aurora is the right bet, so if anybody has one of those I would definitely appreciate some info on it!
About the Camelbaks, I bought the Day Star last year. The reservoir is in an insulated pocket but the outside pocket unzips all the way around and has smaller, zippered pockets as well. I carried keys, wallet, camera, snacks, my blanket, sunscreen (3 kinds!), sweatshirt for night sets and potty supplies with a bit of room left. It's got the same size reservoir as the Magic and Aurora. It was the perfect size for me.

I have a 70 ounce daystar and a 100 ounce trinity camelbak. both are quite big, though.
most of the camelbaks on zappos have little product videos where they show someone wearing it, so that might be helpful for getting a better idea on fit/size.
oh and i highly recommend buying a bite valve cover.

I have a Daystar too and it is plenty big. I think they're about $70 here? I am not familiar with the ones that you mentioned, but my hubby has one that is pretty much a full backpack. It wasn't cheap, but he wouldn't go any other way. My Daystar has a cap that goes over the mouthpiece too (which his does not have) and that feature is AWESOME so the mouthpiece doesn't get all dusty and gross from hitting the ground when we sit, etc.

If you are looking for a good hydration pack, I bought this one, it's Coleman brand from Target. www.target.com/p/Coleman-Orange-Gray-Hydration-Pack-8-Liter/-/A-13814367#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink This will be the third Roo I've had to for, and I've brought it to probably 8 festivals total. The one I have had an 8 liter bladder, but it's still only 18.5 inches by about 10 inches. It has a few pockets besides the bladder, which gave me enough room to carry a lot of water, a long sleeve shirt, my schedule, phone, money, camera etc. Carried everything I needed and the weight/size of the pack was just right.

Whew good, I remember wearing jellies in the 80s and I had blisters all over my poor feet.
Oh no. Apparently it's my turn for the "I have nothing to wear" panic attack. I have dresses for the days but I have no idea what to wear at night. How did I wait this long to figure this out?!

Haha I had this same exact panic attack a couple of days ago!
So I went to get the $2 pack of 24 bottled water at Walgreens...and found, to my surprise, 2/$15 dresses... yay! I never thought I'd buy clothing from Walgreens but it works, lol

Hey - I've been reading this thread for awhile, but I believe this is my first post here! This kinda made me worried - it's my first Roo, and I was thinking shorts and tank tops during the day and dresses at night? Is that a bad idea? Maybe reverse that? Any advice would be welcome!

Welcome to the GFT!! Not a bad idea at all. If that's how you're comfortable- go with it! I just haaate the way my legs look in shorts so I avoid them.

I only do dresses all the time.... It's just the most comfy thing for me. The only time I have worn anything else was when it got pretty chilly one year at night and I actually put on jeans and a tee. Ohhh and welcome!!

Thanks for the advice and welcomes - y'all sure are friendly (: I'm pretty sure I'm just going to COMPLETELY overpack and go with whatever I feel like! Maybe next year I'll have a more well-formed plan...
