Any advice if we get rain? I don't usually think about it but one of the forecasts I saw is calling for rain 3 out of 4 days. Kinda kills my sandals all weekend idea.
Rainboots! One of my friends swears that aqua socks/water shoes are the best Mudaroo shoes though. Also, don't forget a decent poncho (those little cheap $.50 things suck) and if it rains the whole time I'll be wearing a swimsuit instead of undies under my clothes.

So girlies, since mayo requested packing list posts, I thought I'd oblige. My packing list is pretty specific when it comes to clothing, like a lot of times I'll list specific items that I own, so this is a bit of an edited version. But keep in mind that some of these things are based on the specific items that I want...like I wouldn't be bringing three hoodies if they weren't three different ones that I want with me. Also keep in mind that I have a pretty long road trip, so I need extra stuff for travel days and to make sure I'm warm enough the whole trip since the weather up here is quite a bit different from Tennessee! Oh, and also I should warn you that I am a ridiculous overpacker.
So, here is the clothing section of my packing list! Hopefully this helps someone remember something they forgot on their list or something:
6 dresses 2 t-shirt skirts 7 tanks 4 t-shirts 4 bikinis 4 bras 2 bandinis 2 bandeaus 10 pairs of undies 4 pairs pajama shorts knit shorts extra pajama-type shirts? jeans 3 hoodies pajama pants sweatpants 4 pairs socks 3-4 flip flops Tevas Sanuks 4 pairs tights/leggings 2 tutus lots of hair ties however many bandannas I own (6?) hat
It always seems that my packing job before I leave Roo is so nice and pretty and organized. 1 day into Roo, I'm lucky if I can even find my toothbrush. Point being, pack stuff where you are SURE you'll be able to find it. If that means putting everything into it's own categorized bag or just one big bag for everything so you know it's obviously in that bag, more power to you. It's funny how unorganized you can become when you're getting dress in a hot, steamy tent!
I make finding my clothes much easier by laying out and then rolling up an entire outfit together, including any bra or underwear that will be worn with it. All I have to do is pick a roll up out of my trunk and everything is there. I also have an organizer that can be hung in the shower or in a closet. I put my deodorant, toothbrush, etc in it and hang it in the corner of my tent. (Only works if you have a tent you can do that in. I have a cabin tent.) Finding a way to keep those things organized helps, even if it's with large ziplock bags or a small drawstring bag.

A bit premature, but have y'all looked at the weather?! 70s on Thursday?? I'll take it!! Please stay, forecast!!!
yup. got a thread devoted to just that where people are obsessing over it to see how the temps and rain will be. Lookin gooood! (http://bonnaroo.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=28521)
i went to academy sports and got a TON of clothing for 4.99 and some for 2.99. im talking name brands stuff. i got two columbia waffle weave tops for winter and a brown sweatshirt for 2.99. i got three pair of some brand name (cant recall which) quick dry shorts - the kind you can roll up. they had zippers on the sides. they are sort of silky looking. they look good enough to wear out or even to work with boots. those were 4.99. i got two pair of yoga type workout shorts for 4.99 maybe some more stuff
i also got a camping toilet for 5.99 but that was regular price. got some extra tent poles too

since i'm now driving my own car and there's only three of us on the long drive (one joining us in manchester), i think i'm packing in either a rubbermaid tote or a laundry basket. a lot easier!
i think the rubbermaid idea is a good one im very casual however, i put all my clothes on on passenger floorboard folded. and my shoes goes on the other floorboard in the back. then i pack everything else on top of that. once the other stuff is unloaded my clothing appears from underneath.
I had been interested in these cubes for a while - being a bit of an organizational freak - but I never wanted to spend the money on them. Then for roo 2011, I purchased a duffle bag from Walmart and it came packed in one of these cubes. HOLY CRAP do these fit a lot of clothes and keep them all super nice and neat!! I pretty much line the whole bottom with rolled up tops, leggings, shorts (smaller items) and then I can stack a bunch of other folded (slightly larger) items on top. I think I can fit something like 20 pieces of clothing in one of these things (not counting undies!) Large bulky denim and hoodies I leave out, but just about everything else fits!

I seriously stayed awake in bed last night worrying about what I was going to wear when the sun goes down if this forecast plays out. I basically have no jeans or long pants that I can wear since I've lost so much weight. I just cleaned out my drawers and closet two days ago and now I have a massive pile of clothes on my floor that I need to get rid of. I went to Goodwill today and picked up two pair of jeans for nighttime so I don't freeze when the temps drop below 68.

I'm running soooo behind. I haven't even really thought about what outfits I'm gonna wear, so it looks like its gonna be one of those situations where I just throw a bunch of clothes in a duffel bag and, since I'm mostly wearing denim on bottom, everything should hopefully match. Next year, I'll do it more fashionably. I'm determined. (Minimalist/last minute packing list to come soon!)
Tomorrow is going to be epic laundry and outfit-trying-on day, and I need to hit Target + Costco for some last-minute essentials. My boyfriend has already promised to plant himself in the living room to watch as I run around in various states of undress figuring out my packing strategy!

Okay, ladies, here we go. I feel like I'm underpacking in comparison to Pepper, but maybe that is because I ran out of time/money this year to get clothes. Without further ado, my clothes packing list:
-1 dress -1 tutu -1 hoodie -3 t-shirts -5 tank tops -5 shorts -2 biking shorts (1 for sleeping, 1 for dress+tutu) -1 knit gauchos (for lounging at camp/sleeping) -4 bras -4 sports bras -10 undies -5 bandanas -209381309180 bobby pins -1 pair of Crocs -1 pair of Sanuks -1 pair of flip-flops -1 floppy sun hat, w/ pin to clip the brim up -2 pair of sunglasses -2 pair of normal glasses (just in case) -? big, comfy pajama shirts
I'm going to do the last of my shopping today. I think I may get a pair of yoga pants to wear when it gets down in the 50s at night. I also may pick up a dress if I see one. I've recently lost almost 25 lbs and all of my old dresses are too big! It's almost here y'all!!!! I'm sooo excited!!!
Ladies!!! So I started the laundry, AND the clothes pile. i took my 2 tutus from last year and I merged them together, and trimmed em up so it's looking way better than the 2 scraggly things I had before. (Sasquatch + Roodust = bathtub cleaning with woolite = scraggly tutus)
Anyhow, this means I have THREE tutus for roo. I am packing three tutu outfits, and three non-tutu outfits in case I decide to forgo a Tu one day.... but Im thinking I may be in a tutu the whole time besides THursday.... I love Bonnaroo.

wow im taking less clothing 4 yoga tops three pair shorts three pair bike shorts three bikini tops one pair spanx in case of chaffing lots of shoes one pair socks just in case underwear three bras hair accessories such as headbands etc jeans two pair yoga pants hoodie one big shirt
bobbypins are a good reminder. i think we should all take some safety pins too regular prescription glasses and presc sun glasses
so with the weather predicted to be sooo low compared to the bonnaroo avg. what are yall doing to prepare for the cooler weather?....ive never been to a roo where i wasnt trying to wear as little clothing as possible.

Layers! That way you can carry various things with you without being overburdened, and still have varying levels of warmth accessible. I'm bring all my usual stuff....not as much as Pepper lol....but a small backpack full. Plus I have a a couple cardigans (non wrinkle, relatively light but long sleeves and superrr easy to pack), tights, comfy socks, awesome hoody to wear when feeling snuggly, a large scarf (maybe these are called pashminas?) that is big enough to wrap around myself like a shawl but also works as a scarf, and crazy rainbow fingerless mittens
I know mittens are overkill....but they're rainbow!!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

So much done this weekend including shopping for some new Roo Clothes!!! I have decided to pack my clothes in a clear rubbermade tote, I can see what's in it and don't have to tear it all up looking for something! I went to Ross this weekend and scored 3 dresses and a tank for Roo!! All for under 50 bucks!! For the cooler weather I just packed my fav jeans, a long sleeve tee and a thin jacket.. Oh and some warmer jammies!
6 Dresses Ru-Too 5 tanks 4 shorts 2 leggings 6 bike shorts 1 pair of jeans 3 tee shirts 5 bras 10 underwear 6 socks/ 4 short socks 2 long boot socks. 1 bathing suit top Toms Birkenstocks (for around the camp only) Sanuk flip flops Tennis shoes Teva's Mud Boots Bandana x 4 Pony tail holders Scarf (dust or sun protection) Hat x 3
WAYYYY TOOO MUCHHHH STUFFFF! !!! But it all fit into one clear tote!!!
.........ladies. I can not confirm or deny... but I may have just went a little overboard on glitter at Sally's. They have the little teeny "Sally's minis" up by the register for only 0.99 each... I swear I went in there for only the stuff to remove my gel nails!!! ...but I left with more. there may have also been some glitter eyeliner involved. just sayin.

Between having multiple festivals to plan for and just coming home from MJ last night.. I have A LOT to do tonight! Luckily all my camping gear is still in the car, but I need to laundry and then START thinking about what clothes I am bringing!! Like Jen, I have lost weight and a bunch of my dresses are a no-go. Plus with the weather forecast, I am definetly going to have to throw more leggings and such in the bag too.
I usually am a list queen (mostly because I am also an OMGICANTBELIEVEIFORGOTHAT queen as well), but I am working on nothing right now. No list, no prepacked items.. let's put it this way.. I haven't even completed an ideal schedule!!!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

;D
Some gold glitter eyeliner crept into my basket at target. I suppose I shall have to use it at Roo if it REALLY wanted to be with me that bad.

I started to pack as well. I caved and put it all in a duffle but might pack a basket so I don't destroy the tent like last year. I'm VERY proud of myself for weeding out about 10-15 pieces. We're going out in Nashville after Roo so I had to waste space in my bag with a cute dress and heels. :X
It looks like a lot but I packed a bunch of extra tanks and light dresses:
hi girls! first post here! this has probably been covered, but it was a bit daunting to think about going through over 200 pages to find it haha.
what are your thoughts on makeup? i'll be bringing some basics, but i'd love to hear what you girls are bringing/not bringing and any recommendations as this is my first roo!
