It really is. It can be a hit or miss on the quality of F21 items.. Some items you buy there will just not last long, a lot of jewlery. Which they will let you know once you buy it you cannot return it. haha I've never had a problem with the wannabe chiffon like material, which will be a lot of my wardrobe for Roo because it's so light and comfortable. I just wish ALL stores had the plus size section.
On a sad note, they have the cutest plus size rompers, but they do not look cute on me. boo.
I love forever 21 for clothes that are good for going out in or if you don't care if they get ruined, and they have new things almost every day (I work in a mall so I usually drag my ancient 36 year old ass in there on my break ). However, on the other side of the spectrum, is Athleta. I went in today and tried on a ton of skorts that have really light fabric that can get wet and dry quickly, and some of them are for working out so they are pretty durable. The only problem w/ Athleta is that they can be expensive (my favorite one is the Hit The Trail Skort which is of course $80!). So I'm waiting for a sale
*drool* I love Athleta! Too expensive for me... I hope 1 day to make enough where I don't feel guilty for buying from there, lol

I know! I almost bought the Whatever Skort today but I just couldn't do it. So far I haven't been able to let myself buy anything from there, but I'm saving up as much as I can and waiting till it's closer to June. Then I came home and found the dresses I ordered from Old Navy had been delivered, so that made up for it for the time being!
Have any of you ladies ever ordered anything from Zulily? I thought it was just kids' stuff, but I joined and they actually have a few 'hippie clothes' sales for women almost every day. And they are CHEAP. Just wondering how bad the quality is....
Zulie
I like Zulily's quality and Sanuks are totally worth the money for the other poster.

Took a while to read through all this but glad I did - great info here! First timer and I have been debating on what to wear. I am not a dress/skirt girl at all, but may have to find one or two for the trip. My wardrobe is pretty small lately, everything I bought last summer is too big (lost 60 lbs this last year - YEAH ME!!!) and its tough to stock the entire closet at once. Already bought a few swimsuit tops (can't handle regular bras in the heat), some running shorts, and a new pair of Tevas I am currently loving. Wanna get a pair of Sanuks, saw some at Rogan's last week and liked the way they look. Thinking I'll pretty much stick to shorts and tanks, but may have to take a trip to the mall and visit F21.
Ohhhh sooo tempted. I currently have a $13 credit there, so it would be that much cheaper.. I have a tendency to go more for the shorter yoga shorts though... they don't protect against chafing as well, but all I care more about not having to worry about how I am sitting. Still tempted..
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
hey ladiiiiiiessss! (beastie boys style shout out right there)
So getting glitter to stick on you - Benefit has this stuff called She Laq that is the JAM. I dont think that Benefit sells it anymore (boo) but there are some other comparable items out there recommended by makeup bloggers (http://www.sephora.com/eye-seal-P169812) - Anyhow, I use it for anything I want to stay. I.e. GLITTER. You can paint it on your face (or wherever) and sprinkle some glitter on, or mix it with glitter and paint it on and it will stay forEVER. I wouldnt be surprised if it'd hold for a couple of DAYS at Roo. I still have my She Laq, but may get a bottle of the eye seal from sephora to see if it sticks the same way.
As a sidebar, the shelaq REALLY does work to keep eye makeup from smudging. It's exactly what it sounds like - a shellac.

Anyone have suggestions on sites for bathing suits?
I'm looking at MonifC right now and while they are extra cute, it seems to be out of my price range as well lol
yeesh! That really is pricey... I like Athleta but that's still too pricey for me unless maybe there's a sale on a design I like. Recently found Hapari too which have a few things on sale, but not sure if that's your style and the sizing. It's disappointing looking at a tankini on there and then finding out right now they only have XS left. Though, they do have a 20% off code right now.
Honestly, I'm cheap...so I still look at Walmart, Target, Kohl's, etc. I have my eyes on an $8 tankini on Walmart's site, heh. Curious if anyone has some nice, affordable sites to recommend also.

Ellie I'm glad you mention Target! I guess it slipped my mind because the closest one is an hour away but I'm definitely going to make a trip there next time I'm in Knoxville!
Forever 21 has cute, inexpensive bathing suits closer to summer. I also second Target and WalMart, I've gotten nice suits from them that have held up surprisingly well. My favorite for swimsuits is Lane Bryant, though, because sizing is by bra size and they're underwire, which I need. I purchased a "fatkini" from them last year that I LOVE.
I got my swimsuit separates from Kohls, Walmart and Target. I have a hard time finding tops that fit me without feeling like I am gonna fall out of them and I was able to find some nice halters with a thicker band across the bottom of the tops and slighlty more supportive halter ties even though my neck will probably still kill halfway through the day.
Tempted to get this Athleta tankini with matching boyshorts. $55 total. Not available in any stores near me though. I'm worried about the fit. Big belly and small chest (A cup) makes it hard for me to know what size to get. I might go with my shirt size and hopefully be good about returning/exchanging asap after I try it on when getting it in the mail.
I shop better online, for some reason, but then I risk the sizing/look not being what I expect/want. Now I wonder if I should find a completely different print in store, if possible, to figure out sizing... Hmm...
And this is my friends' company. They promote/host shows (in the Chicago area) and musicans, review shows and festivals, do photography and videos for DJs, sell merch. It all started from a random saying at Electric Forest. "Ray John! (Rage On) They started with signs that said "Vote for Ray John 2012" People and musicans loved it, and it has grown from there. Here are a few shirts.
I'm so excited for this thread! I kept seeing outfits pinned on pinterest and wondered how people pull them off without taking layers of skin off their inner thighs! I couldn't read through the whole thing but I'll be checking back!

Forever 21+ is my golden store. I saw this dress and was wondering about the fabric so definitely post back! Oh, and Welcome!
High-waisted shorts are great when you have a generally flat belly. On the other hand, if you are round in even the slightest way, I feel they look maternity-ish... i.e. on me.
I remember looking smoking hot in them when I was 14 though. For realz.
BlackAmy, I freaking adore you and your killer bod.
