I will definitely keep you posted! I'm trying to stick with cotton for breathability, and this one is 90-something percent cotton. Cant wait to get it!
new poster/ridiculously excited first time roo attendee! i am plus size and a little nervous about being in the hot sun for four days and finding that delicate balance between being comfortable and not showing too much skin. i love love love this dress and have ordered it, i will let y'all know how it works when i get it: www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?br=f21&category=Promo_Plus_Spring_Deals&ProductID=2039237178
Forever 21+ is my golden store. I saw this dress and was wondering about the fabric so definitely post back! Oh, and Welcome!
That's an adorable dress, heybulldog! I saw a bunch of dresses at old navy and forever 21 the other day but since I still don't have the time off for Roo yet I need to wait. Almost made it out of Sephora without buying anything but alas, no luck. Ohhhhh darn
I am trying and trying and trying to not buy any roo clothes this year. I think I can do it. well, I may be getting new wicking shorts/bike shorts/running shorts to wear under tutus, and new yoga bras but otherwise - NO! I can do this!!!
Meanwhile I will encourage all of you to keep buying so I can live vicariously through you all

I think it's been discussed before, but I'm too lazy to look for it. I'm really considering getting a fake spray tan. I am the whitest a person could honestly be. I have no problem using sunblock to prevent burning, but you could easily find me in a crowd if I'm wearing shorts. lol Have any of you ladies gotten a spray tan for bonnaroo before? Did it hold up and/or make you look like a traffic cone?

Embrace the pasty! I've only had a spray tan once and I did not like it. My eye immediately went to any imperfection and therefore believed that was what anybody that glanced at me saw. And for some reason, it seems to be the worst on the legs. Terribly uneven and then it fades and flakes around the ankles.
Take comfort knowing there are other glow-legs around

I'm a review fanatic, so after I posted that I tried finding anything reviewed for spray tan and heard a lot of the flaking and how you have to keep up with it. Doesn't seem worth it, specially to worry about during bonnaroo. Ghost girls unite!

I can't imagine it would look good with the amount of sweating you do at Roo..... Just embrace your pale skin- some people would die for it! My friend is very pale and just goes with it

I am unbelievably pale, but I like to think that I'm bringing the look back! I wear SPF 30+ every time I'm in the sun FWIW I always think spray tans look uneven and orange-y. and if you are comfortable and confident in yourself that's the most beautiful!

I'm quite pale as well and totally okay with it! I've used at home self tanner (I like the L'Oreal spray on one, or the St Tropez 'gradual tan' lotion)), but I don't use much so it's only a slight tan for me (enough not to glow in the dark). I don't think I would use it at Roo though, I feel like it might sweat off.
On the subject of being pale, I know we all use sunblock and reapply when we feel we need to, but I think it's worth mentioning that I got a BAD burn on Sunday last year when it was overcast all day. I remember to reapply when the sun is beating down on me, but didn't realize until it was too late - I totally know better too. Luckily it was the last day, but not fun to go back to work with (I actually had a blister on my nose) Just something to keep in mind!

I have to stay out of the sun (I know, Bonnaroo will be tough, but this just means I get to buy more big, floppy hats ) so I get Mystic tans instead. It takes a few tries to figure out the best way to hold your arms and the best way to put the blending cream on ect, but I like it. I've heard airbrush tans are even better but since they cost more I'll just stick to Mystic. I would try it with the least amount of color (do NOT let anyone convince you to go darker if you've never tried it before) and if you can't stand it than at least it won't be to obvious and will fade pretty quickly. And then buy more hats!

Yes embrace it!! I don't know if you have been to Roo before but you will need at least spf 50 if you are pale. My friend uses spf 100 Neutrogena spray. I wear spf 30 at Roo and I am olive skinned.
and this is my favorite sunblock Neutrogena Sport. I still make sure to reapply every few hours but it smells good and works really well. I've also used some of the Ultra Sheer sunblock on my face and it makes your skin feel really smooth

thanks, I have been in 2009 and 2010 and remember the blistering sun well! I actually do rock SPF 70-100 at roo and other intense outdoor events, but wear sunscreen almost every day in general. and reapply every 30 min-1 hour even if I don't feel like it. and remind everyone else! hazard of the profession, I'm a nurse manager
Hi ladies! I'm new to Bonnaroo and to the Inforoo boards. Took me about three weeks to get through this thread haha, but it was fun reading! You all have some great advice. I just wanted to share my most recent purchase. Not sure if I'll be bringing it to 'Roo, but I'm really excited about it anyway!
I got it at Marshall's- the original retail price was $135, and I got it for $25!

I know it has been said a million times but I'm here to reiterate the one true fact that I have learned in the GFT and at Roo: Dresses with bike shorts are THE best clothing solution!
I went into TJ Maxx today and found even more maxi dresses. At this point in my Roo prepping I've got to actually cut down on my clothing choices. Crazy.

Truth be told, I went out and bought that dress over the weekend. It has some gaps for me in the chest area but I don't think I'll mind too much during the festival. I think the fabric will get even softer with some washing.
update: i got this dress today and love love love it! Looks like they dont have the coral color left though. Happy shopping!

I caved and bought the black and white one. Twinsies! Looks like my whole Bonnaroo wardrobe will be dresses.

My dear friend, Cece, wrote a good blog post a while back about the remedy for the infamous "chub rub" if any ladies were looking for a cure without the biker shorts or when you're wearing a bathing suit!

The Monistat stuff works great and so does Bodyglide and the Goldbond stick (looks like a yellow tube of deoderant). I've heard there is a Band-Aid brand but I haven't seen or tried it.
