should I even bother taking up the packing space to bring jeans? this is my first 'Roo, but I have a hunch that I am not going to need them.
I have never taken jeans to Roo. I do take a pair of lounge/yoga pants though, and they are sufficient if you need some warmth on your legs. Or maybe leggings! But personally, I would leave the jeans at home.
Hey Bonz...what strapless do you love??? Would like to find one that I like...
It's actually just a Victoria's Secret one. I am not sure if it's the specific bra (I can run to the bathroom and let you know which it is), or because I got fitted right before so I know it's perfect... but it stays snug in place!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I will definitely bring a pair of yoga pants in case it gets cool sleeping at night.

Ack! I just realized I have now acquired more Bonnaroo outfits than there is Bonnaroo! Probably think reading this thread regularly had something to do with that...worth it!
Did you order them? I've been staring at them every time it rolls though my newsfeed.. Unlike you, those kind of tops work great for me. My boobs are too big for 90+% of sundresses and those kinds tend to cover up more. I wear a strapless bra with them. I have to (but I have one that I love).
Nah, I resisted.
As for jeans - I frequently have a pair with me, but I don't remember ever wearing them at Roo. (I have a decently long road trip to Roo, so I always need to bring some real world clothes including things I can wear in air conditioned restaurants/rest stops and/or the parts of the trip closer to home when it is not so warm out.) At Roo, I just make sure I have some footless tights with me that I can pull on under my dress/tutu if need be.
Hey! This will be my first time at Roo. I was just wondering do many people do just bikini tops and shorts? That's what I was planning on doing and also having a light jacket with me just in case.

Welcome! Yes, a lot of ladies just wear bikini tops and shorts. Personally, I like to stay a bit more covered to get less sun. If you go with just the top and shorts, just be sure to have a back up plan in case you get sunburned!

If that's what you find comfortable, go for it. I am not the skinniest person so I feel most comfortable in sundresses, they allow airflow but still cover up. A lot of ladies also like sundresses because they find shorts uncomfortable to walk around in all day. Like the previous person said, have some options.

Alright! Thanks. I'll make sure to have a couple of options just in case.

Thanks for answering. I just don't want to over pack. But sundresses don't take up too much room so maybe I'll bring a couple of those too.
I'm hoping it'll fit over my ta-tas, since it's a one-size-fits-all! Zulily also has a pretty good selection of plus-size apparel!! Again, I've never actually bought anything until today, but I always look on there for clothes. I will report back once I get the dress (hopefully before I leave for Roo)!
UPDATE: I got my dress in from zulily today, and I loooove it. It's a little longer than I thought but it fits me and then some... it's really stretchy! The material doesn't feel super cheap, either. If anyone was scared to order from them before because of their return policy, etc., I would say go for it if you find a good deal. The one downside to the website is that it takes about 2 weeks after you order to get your item, so if you order anything off there now, I doubt you'll get it in time for Roo.

And on the same note - those two dresses that I ordered from Wet Seal arrived today, and omg I am so happy with them. Considering I paid a total of $15 for both of them I was pretty prepared from them to be completely useless, but they actually fit pretty well and look cute and the fabric seems like it'll be nice and cool for Roo. The pink one has bizarrely long straps, but luckily they attach in the back with a straight seam so they'll be easy enough to shorten up a bit.

I did my final pack today for Roo. I have slowly been accumulating dresses all year, and I love all of my stuff. Each year it gets easier to pack (but also easier to spend more money) because I'm building up a solid collection of Roo stuff.
Also, TMI perhaps, but I just did the math and realized that this will be my first Roo NOT on my period. Amazing. I hang out with mostly dudes, and few of them would feel any excitement for me.
I can't believe how fast it's happening.....see you women on the farm!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
If anyone is looking for rain boots to appease the rain gods, Tractor Supply Co. has some for $20. I can't find any on their website, so it might just be an in store thing.

Ohhh on the subject of rain boots: last year I cut some side slits in my boots, that way when it started getting warmer they were pretty easy to fold over. It cools things down, and really the loss of effectiveness is small as long as the slits aren't giant.

That's a great idea. I bet some wouldn't even need slits depending in the material. I have some fancy muck boots for work that are designed to fold down. It really does make a huge difference.

Ok everyone, I need help! This is my first year and whenever I go somewhere for the first time (lets be serious, it's every time) I over pack. I'm volunteering so I'll be there a little bit longer anyway, but I'm pretty sure I don't need this much sh*t. So how much does everyone bring with them? How many dresses, pairs of jeans, leggings, bras, sweatshirts, ect. Thanks

I always overpack too. Bonnaroo is one place that I don't care if I pack too many clothes. With changes in the weather or just needing to freshen up its better to have too many clothes than be stuck with only dirty options on Sunday/Monday. I think I have:
6 dresses (1 maxi, 1 hi-low, the rest are knee length) 2 jean shorts 1 jeans 2 tshirts 4 tanks 2 comfy shorts (for sleeping) 1 yoga pants (in case it is chillier) 4 pairs of shoes (all different types) 2 underwear/day 3 bras 2 sports bras 4 pairs of socks (most of my shoes don't require them) 2 hoodies 2 swimsuits Accessories (bracelets, earrings, etc)
We will be there Thursday - Monday. I have a couple other outfits for traveling since we are stopping to visit family on our way there and on our way home.

I'm so glad you posted this! I was just wondering about this exact thing because my boots are so tall and I can't imagine how hot my feet would get wearing them on the farm.

Thank god!! Thats about where I am. I figured the same thing, that it would be better to have too much than be stuck in nasty clothes. I also have Space Bags, so I should be able to fit all this into two medium sized suitcases. How are you getting there? I'm carpooling so I don't want to take up too much room.

I'll say hi if I see some rocking folded boots! Well I'll say hi anyway

Fortunately it's just me and my husband, but we will be in a car so space is a bit limited. I don't have space bags, but I'm pretty amazing at packing. All my clothes will probably fit in a small carry-on sized suitcase and then the shoes we just throw into the small empty spaces as we pack everything into the car.

Keep your sneakers out of the windows and away from the sun... last year mine melted...
I just managed to do some last minute shopping at Walmart today. Was looking for bike shorts for wearing under my skirts and found some comfy compression shorts. glad I'll have less chafing to deal with now! Phew! If only I coulda found a good hat. Oh well. One last try Monday night at the Walmart near my hotel or I'll just stick with buffs and my old comfy visor. Maybe check some out at the vendors too (but I'm a bit picky)
