Saw this video yesterday. Think I may try this one soon. DIY tie-dye leggings.
Would leggings get too hot though?
As a ginger I often have to cover up more so than the average human. I try to keep thing loose, and breezy though. After my first year at roo I had the worst sunburn ever. I learned very fast.
Long leggings would definitely be too hot for daytime. I chill easy at night so they would work for me under a skirt.

I walked around in leggings with my tutu for the late nights last year and was fine. Idk how id feel in leggings during the day tho.
I wish I could have some obnoxious sunglasses, because I love them, but I wear prescription sunglasses and don't use contacts... I'll live vicariously through the rest of you. Those DIY ones are really cute!
i met up with my best friend in columbus last week for kings of leon and she surprised me with a black tutu!! now to embellish it. AHH,i don't even know where to begin

Hot glue guns work great on tulle. Wander through a craft store and see what inspires you! You can glue almost anything. I've also sewn buttons and have tied things like ribbon Check out AttiTudes Tutus on Facebook to see some of the things they've done
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
This was me! I'm happy your brought it up. It does wonders as they don't lose any of their effectiveness. It also helps with large calves. I have tree trunk calves and I feel your pain sister.
Could you possibly post a picture of your cut rain boots (if you have one)? I was wondering how far down you cut them, how you fold them, etc.
I actually don't have one! And I forgot my boots at Roo that year....yes I know.....but we were in such a hurry to pack up in that rain Monday morning.
I make a vertical slit in the boots from the top until about two inches above the ankle and then just do a roll over. It works infinitely better in the Tennessee heat, I just tried to do it to a cheap pair of boots I had lying around here and they just weren't pliable enough. I think the first time I tried this, it didn't work so well as they folds were just too large and looked ridiculous. Also I believe last year I actually cut around the top of the boots to take away from the height of the boots. I'll check through my Roo pics to see if there's one that shows them. I only wore them once.
Unfortunately it can be a bit of a trial and error practice.....my friend doesn't cut hers all the way to the top. She just runs the slits from just above the ankle to about an inch under the top.....she has wee small calves tho so she's got more room around in there.
Love neon nancy. If you've got the body to walk around in a bra all weekend they're worth checking out. They also have really awesome light up tutus and spirit hoods.
I definitely don't have the confidence to walk around in a bra, but I think this could be neat for late night with a white tank top.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Gotcha. I will def try something out with a pair of cheap rain boots before I do anything to either a nice pair or ones I really like!
Also, great idea with the white tank top! That's seriously a really good idea. I love their bras, but could never pull off wearing one! Unfortunately my boobs are huge so I'd probably be popping out all over the place in their bras. I can't wear bras with a lot of padding, and I'm pretty sure all of theirs have padding.

Same issue! It's frustrating to not wear cute/different sunglasses, but I can't imagine wearing contacts, especially at a place as dusty as Bonnaroo.

I wore contacts for a few Bonnaroos, including the crazy dusty one in 2007 I think. I've never had any issues with them as long as you keep eye drops on hand. I only stopped wearing them because my eyesight has changed and I cannot read or see anything close up when I wear them (unless I add reading glass, which is a pain). So now I just wear glasses and deal with no cute sunglasses

I'm in the same boat!
I'm always so jealous of people who can buy cheap (relative to prescription) sunglasses and have like multiple different styles to choose from.
Plus having the freedom to just whip them on and off whenever you like.
It's such a hassle dealing with glasses all the time! I have one pair of prescription sunglasses that I bought like three years ago. The prescription is no longer my current prescription and I no longer like the style of them... but can't afford to spend another $300.. so... I guess I'm stuck with what I've got!

Have you heard of Zenni optical? I buy glasses and sunglasses from there to do "pretty/artsy" things to. You can get them for 10 bucks (with lenses!) and they've worked really well.

Wow, so you just input your prescription?
The other thing is... I'm from Canada.. So we always have a lot less options for online shopping because of shipping and stuff.
I'm definitely going to look into it though, sounds like it could be worth it even if shipping is steep. Thanks!

Yeah, as long as you have your prescription you should be golden! They don't verify it with a doctor like 1-800 contacts does, so it's important you know you have it exactly right.
They're cheap though and I just got an email about fun Mardigras glasses (which = 'Roo shades to me!). Hopefully they ship to Canada.

They're an eyeglass retailer so I think they ONLY sell prescription.
I contacted my eye doctor because I don't know what my glasses prescription is. Will they just give it to me? UGH I don't want to pay to go there again!!

They're supposed to just give it to you, as long as your last visit was recent enough that it can still be considered valid. Good Luck!

Last time I went was 2 years ago and my prescription has been the same the last 2 times I went. I've been wearing the same glasses with no issues so I am pretty sure it hasn't changed. Hoping they send it with no hassles!! There are so many cool glasses on this site!! Thank you so much for sharing

I just checked the site out. Looks like most of the glasses they sell have a prescription and non-prescription option. Most of the frames also have a tint option... Meaning you can pretty much make any frames into sunglasses by adding the extra tint for $4.95
And they do ship to Canada, only $9.95 which is really cheap compared to what it usually is.
I have an eye appointment mid May because I need an updated prescription, so definitely going to be revisiting this site then.
Also, your eye doctor should definitely give you a copy of your prescription, totally free... Where I go, I could walk in any time, no appointment, and ask for it and it just takes a minute for them to print it off.

This website is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I am so glad I got my prescription last time I was at the eye doctor. This may be a long shot but any chance you know of a similar website for contacts? I need to order some and I don't find 1800contacts to be all that cheap, tbh.
