Should I just use ribbon or a leather cord to attach the flowers to? I've seen them done both ways, but I wondered if anyone has a flower headband or has made one, if there was a preference for comfort?
I would recommend a leather cord over ribbon. I know with my hair, ribbon slips out quite easily, while leather has texture and grip.
Both were ordered from Rose Wholesale. I realize there's always a bit of a risk ordering from these Chinese wholesale companies, but I figured for those prices, I'd risk it.
There's some really cute swimsuit styles on there I haven't seen elsewhere. I'll update my review when I get my order.

I NEED a sunflower band to match my sunflower tu. I think I recently bought a bright yellow shirt and I have a sunflower bandana that NothingButFlowers made for Whoring for Whoreshack... BUT I STILL NEED MOOAAARRRRR SUNFLOWERS!! Plus, the bandana has a permanent home tied on my camelbak.

My sister also suggested that I make some sort of sheer cape, glue little jewel things to it.. line it with boa type material.. I just might do it! Light on the plane and not too hot either... But maybe not Elton-y enough.
Also, now that line makes me want to make like 5 pair. I suppose I could make some sunflower sunglasses...

How cute is this kid??? And it looks pretty easy to pull together. Of course not a jacket, but attach feathers & beads to a shirt/dress. Love it!

I like the way your sister thinks. I think that cape would be plenty Elton-y enough. But it sounds time consuming, I love crafts but if you're not patient you may get bored with it.
As far as Elton glasses you could make 2, sunnies for the day & clear for night. Why the hell not right?!?!

2- I have found that forever 21's sizes are really inconsistent. I've had some things fit perfectly, other times they're super small. I would say that they mostly run small though. I order lots of things online, but that's one of those places I don't know if I'd order online.

Me three! We're going to have a Whoreshack-ton of sunflowers If I have any extra sunflowers leftover, I might try to make them in to ornaments to either hang on our Root for Roo Whoreshack tree (if it's there) or Matt's Tree.

1. I went to Walgreens today for some supplies and found a mini misty mate! It's like this, but 1 oz. and HOT pink! It was only 5 dollars and no batteries required. Pretty good deal, I think. If you're in the market, check out the summer section.
2. I'm bringing my 1 and only tutu to Roo (I'll take any excuse I can to wear it!). Would you recommend it for Friday or Sunday? I heard there's a costume party on Friday but it sounds like people are going to be funkified for Elton on Sunday. I will probably decide based on the weather, but any and all opinions are welcome. Thank you!

ahaha this is the outfit I'm going for! I got a sparkly white coat from the thrift store that I'll throw on when the sun goes down. I have bags of feathers and pearls waiting to be attached. That mister is great. I got a ton from the dollar spot at Target one year and handed them out to people. The outer plastic started melting in the sun haha. They got kind of gooey, but the mist was worth the gross bottle. Maybe that brand will be better than target's. I should really get some more. And I also can't decide when I should wear my tutu. I really don't want to make a second one...

Thanks for the input ladies! I think I'll stick to wearing it on Friday. By Sunday I'll likely be too tired, sunburned, and dirty to wear it - Sir Elton wouldn't approve. Maybe some glasses though..
