someone else mentioned. I have never had my feet stomped on either now that you mention it
That was me. I see why it's a worry, but I always think about that because it always comes up in shoe convos...
I once had my feet stomped on very badly over and over again while in the pit for Red Hot Chili Peppers. This huge dude with combat boots was quite uncoordinated and jumping around everywhere! I was wearing my Chako sandles. I honestly couldn't feel my big toe at all for 2 weeks but the feeling did eventually come back again.

I suppose it depends on the person and how they fest. I would also be afraid for my toes in a Chili Peppers pit... but I also probably wouldn't do a Chili Peppers pit Seems like it would get a tad too aggressive. I am the furthest from a moshy type person as you can get.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Yeah.. I've only been to two stores, but I'm not having any luck, either
Have you tried craft stores? Or maybe a party supply store. I feel like I've seen them in ac Moore/michaels.
Oooh, do you have a costume shop near you?
Hmm no, I haven't tried a craft store! I need to go to JoAnn's soon anyways... the trouble is that is is out of the way so I always put off those trips..

But you guys...you could just pop the lenses out of some cheap star-shaped sunnies...
Also, Sanuk's up to 50% off on Zulily today!
I just ran to check them out... only a few available and mostly size 5 and size 11. I found one in size 9 that said "only one left!" but at checkout it's telling me: Sorry, we could not reserve some items you have requested, please check the item quantities.

I know, sadly with my monster feet (size 9.5 or 10) I cannot find any that I like Sad times.
Might be a creepy questions, but are you from Evansville, IN? I never see people on inforoo from here...just surprised me to see that city name.
I'm from Tell City, but I'm in Evansville several times a month. It is unusual to see anyone from this area.
Yeah that's what surprised me, although I just recently learned that quite a few people from this area are heading to roo. (I don't know any of them though )

I've had my feet smashed before, and then the same guy elbowed my sunburned elbow trying to get a better view of the stage in That Tent. I still wear sandals though.

I still wear sandals as well. The RHCP pit thing kind of happened by accident, not sure I'd repeat it!

I have been lurking this thread for packing advice, and again this is coming across as creepy, but I was so excited to see people who live near me that I had to jump in. I live in Owensboro and don't know anyone locally who is going. It really is a small world.
Also on a more fashiony topic... I made my friend a rootu but realized I made it too large... didn't matter cuz when she tried it on she put it on Cher-style around her shoulders/arms then tied around in the back! Looks awesome and so random different!

That's cool! Most tutus can easily be shortened though- if she would like to.

I have the same giant head, so I can't help you there. But try Amazon for rain boots. Many will have the boot circumference, so you'll know if they will fit your calves. Plus, lots of options.
Reading through this thread made me feel better about my enormous freak head. This plus size head market seems ripe for capitalization! I ended up sewing some canvas floppy sun hats because I can never find women's hats in my size. (Side note: Last year as I wandered through the Saturday afternoon crowd wearing one of them, a friendly old hippie dude said "your hat is beautiful!" it was magic.)

I did the ribbon wrap waistband on that one then braided that ribbon into the ties so it's stayin put but now I've switched one of mine from waist to shoulders cuz it makes u feel like such a fancy lady!

You make hats?! Please show me the way!
Ha! I'm by no means an expert, and it was trial and error, but I used these three tutorials as guides and sorta frankensteined them together. If you have basic sewing skills, you should be able to come up with something!
I found some sparkly yellow sunglasses at the party store. Got two pair and will pop the sunglass part out of one to wear at night. Next up Boa and i will be ready for Sir Elton!!! Eeeeeek
Should I just use ribbon or a leather cord to attach the flowers to? I've seen them done both ways, but I wondered if anyone has a flower headband or has made one, if there was a preference for comfort?
I went to the ribbon section at JoAnns and found stretchy fabric ribbon when i made mine. Worked perfect!!!

Ladies, how do you feel about maxi skirts/dresses on the farm? are they too hot or just right? I'm not only scared about my legs being suffocated but the bottom getting absolutely filthy

I personally like wearing maxi skirts! I don't find they my legs get too hot, or that they get really dirty. I stick with dark ones (black maxi skirt+bathing suit top or tank=easy peasy) and I generally don't wear one if it's raining or muddy at all.

I wear longer dresses at night sometimes. Not maxi dresses per se, but still long. Works great at night, but I personally wouldn't wear them during the day! I actually disagree about it being "Roo only." Unless it's white, lacy, etc... Clothes can be washed of dust and sweat.

In my picture to the left I was wearing a white sun dress. Surprisingly, it wasn't destroyed that day.
