Another thing I brought along was a wet washcloth in a ziploc to wipe my face. It's amazing how much power a rag holds!
What a great idea! I'm adding it to my list
Two years at Roo and I can't believe I didn't think of this.... Great idea and so simple. I also used the Neutrogena mist sunblock for me and the 2 teenagers I took and we loved it. One of them is extremely fair skinned and although we used a whole bottle, even she did not get burned
I actually froze the rag overnight. Granted, it wasn't very cold a couple of hours in. Given what I've read about the raging heat in TN, it probably won't be very cold at 'Roo, either! But just that swipe of wet rag really seems to help and refresh.
Just a heads up: I know its early, but Target has some cute summery dresses out already. I bought one last night and am thinking about going back for the one I left behind!

LOL, don't even tell me that. Now I'm gonna have to go over there and check it out
I'm patiently waiting for the skirt I got off ebay to arrive. ;D

last year I used the spray sunblock and loved it but it ate the letters off my bracelet (thankfully hubby didn't use it and we have one souvenir bracelet)
I'm addicted to ebay! Why haven't I ever thought to look there for skirts?! Thanks for the reminder. Karma!
I bought my crocs on eBay! Unfortunately, someone swiped the box before I got home. Booo. Lesson to me: buy the insurance option on eBay purchases if you live in a place where there is a communal package dropoff (like an apartment building with a zillion apartments). One claim will probably pay for a lot of insurance, into the future.
Insurance is definitely worth the extra buck. I've never had a problem with anyone swiping my packages, but i live in a neighborhood where houses are pretty far a part. You can also get delivery confirmation for like .60 so you know when your package will arrive. According to the usps mine will be here today! ;D wooooooooo!
I have a feeling that I will be buying a lot of supplies off ebay this year.

Had the confirmation that the package arrived. But, no package. That's how I know it was swiped. Mean people in this world. Stealing crocs from the 'Roo needy. But it's a lesson learned. Could have happened on something more expensive, so I should consider myself lucky. Hope you enjoy that package, cupcake!
Thanks for the tip Aly. I find the searches can pull so many items I don't or wouldn't wear..... I did a search last year for Tie Dye also. Got all kinds of great stuff.
If you don't want your package getting swiped and you don't want to pay the insurance, then you should have the package dropped at your friend/family members house. (If you know anyone who lives in a home. To save on the duty because I'm in Canada, I'm sending everything to Texas where my parents are heading for a few months to stay. Then they can either send it to me as a gift, or can just stick it in their SUV when they are coming home!! Sometimes Duty on American purchased items are WAY more expensive than the actual cost of the product.....
I always have stuff shipped to my office so that it doesn't have to sit on my porch all day. I have a house but it's downtown in a busy neighborhood so there's always a lot of people around.
They won't let us ship personal items to work. And some eBay/paypal types won't ship to a non-certified address, making shipment to a friend impossible. But good ideas, guys. Just wish they worked for me!

Love this thread! I wish there would have been something like this before my first roo, it would have been soooo helpful! I learn new things every year...
Anyways on the topic of packages, I order tons of my stuff online and usually always ship to my office...every time I ship to my apartment complex they just leave it outside the door which I don't trust! Ebay is awesome but I think a little expensive and the whole bidding war thing gives me anxiety.
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has the power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive."

I just got back from Target, and yes! what cute summer dresses and bathing suits they have! I just picked up a new bikini!
I've been ebay-ing lately too, but not much luck yet!

I highly recommend them! I got my skirt 2 days after I sent payment and even got a free necklace. In the note it says "I picked out this special gift, just for you, to match your purchase." It seems like she usually includes a matching piece of jewelry as a free gift!
Great Score Cupcake! Glad the skirt arrived! I wish Canada had a target! Everyone raves about it. Is it like a Walmart? Does Target sell inexpensive items?
