they've always been great for me. The last order I had took about 10 days to get here... you are dealing with hippies there... they'll ship in a recycled box and are super-friendly about any problems... they'll do ya right ;D

this is the first thing i see. i can wear this to work with a long sweater coat - and can wear this summer too well i cant get it to paste but its the universe dress... ialso see some blouses that i like. you can buy some things here in nashville but they are way higher and not this unique. i like the thing about the recycled boxes. i reuse manilla envelopes and folders- people get mad about it but...if its intra office - i do it anyway.

last year I used the spray sunblock and loved it but it ate the letters off my bracelet (thankfully hubby didn't use it and we have one souvenir bracelet)
crocs tilley hat (big, floppy, SPF, good!) bikini top in lieu of bra camelbak hand held fan
I did not love my:-
elle cotton floaty dress - sounds dreamy non? it would have rocked had the sodding straps stayed on my shoulders, constantly pulling them up was a pita, this year dresses will be halter or nonexistant for me!
I didn't bring any skirts last year, sticking to crop/combat pants and shorts, this year I'm going to pick up a couple of long floaty halter neck/tie dresses. I did buy two lovely tie dye long skirts on the Sunday and managed to haggle $20 off the pair!
Last year I carried round a pack of wet wipes in a ziplock and a small amount of clorox wipes in another ziplock (clearly marked which!!). The clorox wipes were very handy for wiping down porta potty seats before use. Waterproof mascara was a godsend as was sunscreen (70 for face, 40 for everywhere else).
I will also be packing my wellington boots incase of rain and a bumper pack of dust masks incase Dustaroo once again presents itself.
definately not the only one. I totally hover in a porto-jon.
unless I happen across one that has the truck out front washing them down. If I see that truck, I stop, if I have to go or not. Guaranteed to be fresh and stocked with TP ;D
belltwala... call them up if you think it might be a problem. I'm fairly average sized so it's never come up for me.
I'll only sit on them if I've wiped them down with a clorox wipe and I'll only wipe them down if they're free of, um, stuff anyway ;D. If they're happily cloroxed I'll happily park my cheeks. No clorox, no parky.

ok sass...so you are not a pottywhore... are you trying to make us feel bad heheheh joking yeah i know a lot of people who feel this way. my advice would be to take the pack of wipes as someone said. i took a ton of toilet tissue around with me at all times. maybe we should all practice squatting?
Post by belltwala1 on Jan 14, 2008 13:01:02 GMT -5
the really bad part of the toilet issues.. if you squat and hang on to the sides... i think you encounter more stuff than if you sit...i mean....better the backs of your legs than your hands? eww sorry but that did occur to me last year a few times.
I could see using the wipes on a regular, public toilet. But it has honestly NEVER occurred to me to sit on a port-a-potty...probably b/c I'm the world's fastest urinator and I'm only interested in getting out of the sweatbox as fast as possible!
HAHAHAHA. Stop by the Greenleafe on Wednesday night and I'll give you a lesson in the fine art of hands-free hovering. After I've had about nine beers.
You'll see my review on the page, I was highly impressed. Made it super easy to be like the boys and take a pit stop in an old gallon jug at 4am behind the truck too ;D
But I HIGHLY recommend a baggie of wet wipes, a baggie of Clorox wipes, a baggy of regular TP, and then some gum and Purell to cool off and refresh mid-day!
I actually prefer to not hover when I'm pressed for time so I just wiped the seat with a Clorox wipe every time. I'd have it ready to go before I even got in there! And there was only 1, maybe 2 times where there was actually something on the seat anyway - and then I definitely didn't sit down. I was really impressed with how clean the port-a-pots were - maybe because so many people brought Clorox wipes so they wouldn't have to squat?

i was very impressed with how clean things were considering the volume off people. theres no way to keep things daisy fresh when people are partying. for you new folks...dont be scared....we are just offering additional information..its cleaner than most local events you might attend here in nashville for example.
