Thanks to losing power the other day a new item to add to your list: Bulbs for your flashlight. If you drop a flashlight that is on the bulb usually breaks inside and don't work, and the spare at the bottom was also broken.

Also, I've been using something called a Buff lately that is pretty slick and indispensible. It's basically a tube of wicking material that is stretchy only sideways. You can make a beanie, bandanna, around your neck like a hankerchief, and like 10 other things with it. They also make UV blocking ones, so less sunscreen would be nice.
I put all my Roo stuff (camping stuff) in a couple of tubs and unpack it when I get there and pack it up when I leave. I don't touch any of it unless I go camping. That way I always have everything packed and ready. Just have to worry about perishables.
I always find some cool souvenirs from the previous year when I unpack. Last year I still had a 2004 Bonnaroo guide in one of the tubs.
Found my comp ticket stub from 2004 the same way! wrapped up in the tent....
I hate to go there but walmart has great deals. We have a friend meeting us with a van he will sleep in so now we have room for a EZ up. They usually run $100. Right now I found a 9X9 foot knock off for $49.
Also we picked up stadium pads. They were like $5 a piece. Super simple, just a thin pad to sit on and it has a velco strap to connect it to your back pack. Used it last year for sitting and a pillow for centerroo naps. It came in so handy. Two years ago I sat in someone puddle of spit, and also once in urine, the pad just makes you feel more comfortable.
I'm trying to think of some things people people wouldn't normally think about...
-Paper clip for clogs -Scissors for cutting small strips of paper -Extra plastic bags for storing things -Your own rolling papers/wraps. They're harder to find on the farm than you think. -Hammer for tent spikes -Sharpee or Pen. You'll be suprised how useful having a writing utensil can be -Dry erase board. Hang this from your ez-up and its great for communicating with your crew or your neighbors "meet me at the bobble heads at 7:30" -compass to orient your campsite against the sunrise -napkins/paper towels, plates, plastic utensils. These are great even if your not planning on cooking alot, you can use them for vendor food, or if your neighbors share food. If you're anything like me you forget these every year. -Towel. They're suprisingly useful. Even if you don't plan on taking a shower bring one anyway. -Pillow. Obvious right? one of my friends forgets theirs every year -Jumper cables. It's suprisingly easy to kill your battery. -Jacket. After spending a full day in the heat under the sun, 70 degrees at night feels almost like winter time. -Something to drink out of while at camp other than your camel back; like cups or a Nalgene. Sucking water through a tube gets old after a while, especially for 4 days straight. It's nice to be a able to site back at camp and drink from a more traditional container, especially when eating. Trying to suck some water out of a camelback with food in your mouth isn't fun.

Haha very true if you really wanna go all nutz black out mode you can throw a shot of Southern Comfort on top of your normal Yager! Red Bull setup we call um southern drive-bys You can also pick these up at the ABC stores (only place that sells the hard stuff) in VA they come free with the medium sized bottles remember no glass.....

i found this idea on the board last year and it ended up working very well - Pool noodles with a slit so you can slide them over your tent lines. makes them a lot more visible especially at night. the year before one of my friends took a spill from a tent line and ended up with a pretty nasty cut from the fall. this was a nice preventive measure. plus you can add some more color to your campsite

Add a dust mask or bandana to your must have list, then make sure you wear it. I have no allergies and am usally pretty sturdy but after roo last year and all the dust I had a cough that would not go away for a couple of months.
It's $40 and charged my iphone up 200+% and my phone and my friends never died at sxsw. It lasted 3 days before the battery on it died. All it needs is your iphone cable and it charges plugged into a wall. It works with all usb devices.
I know this can be posted on any thread that gets bumped from a year ago but Yoderoo's posts were excellent. What a smart and helpful guy. I get a little sad everytime I come across his posts.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

can anyone recommend a good battery powered fan? I'm looking at this O2 brand of battery powered fan, has anyone got one of these before? $30 seems reasonable. Any suggestions?
