I've never owned a pair of crocs. What is it that makes them so comfy?
they weigh almost nothing, and they're squishy and conform to your foot. they are shoes, but have holes so they are extremely breathable, and easy to kick off if you don't feel like having them on while you're at a show. they're also easy to clean should we be graced with rain and mud.

with all that being said they sounds great. Alot of my friends have them but i just always stuck with flipflops. I keep reading about how ugly they are, and i agree but then i jumped on the website and they have some pretty cute styles!
I wonder if the comfy factor translates with the cuter styles....

as far as i know, it does. some of the girls have gotten the maryjane style and really love them. i also think they're ugly as sin, but at roo, comfort is priority. not to mention THOUSANDS of others will be wearing them as well.

i LOVE my sanuks.thank you thank you thank you. i have the cute scribble kind. they dont come in half sizes so you might have to do what i did and cut the side bands a little with a razor to give extra room. mine are PERFECT. you can search them on sale on the net. if you have miscrosoft as a browser you can search for them under "shopping" or just search for the name. i suggest everyone take three or four different types of shoes just in case something starts to hurt, slip, or gets trashed.
My girlfriend just bought me a pair of the rx crocks. I think the rx has more support and is for people with back problems, I've got a sturdy back but theses things are great! I tend to look down from time to time and forget I have shoes on.
I consider them to be "summer house shoes," but I wear my house shoes everywhere also...

I will attest to the sanuk side walk surfers. And you might even see Donavon Frankenreiter in them, he's got his own shoe. But I'll probably be wearing my flops again this roo. My feet scream if I'm not in flip flops. I've been through more flip flops than I can count, easily could be over 100, all brands, shapes, and sizes and these puppies are the best. Ocean Minded Custodian. They have jelly soles that feel like you are walking on dr. shoals and they have great arch support as you can see by the high sides. They are made out of a canvas material so they are super durable. Aren't the prettiest, but I'll be jellin.
i might go with Sanuks, for the comfort and cuteness factor.
Sanuk's FTW!! And Inertiaticc, I know more than one girl who has made the same decision...not that fashion matters at 'Roo, but Sanuk's are just a great all purpose summer shoe too. That's my pair in the pic, but there are apparently much more fashionable styles.

Crocs. Crocs crocs crocs. Comfy, lightweight, easy to clean (which is important if you get into a mudaroo or dustaroo like I did) and fairly cheap! Also they come in cute colors - I have the celery-green mary jane style I'm thinking I'm going to wear them to Ultra Fest as well!

I used to be a die hard Birk fan, but after one year at Roo with them and having the worst blisters and swelling ever, I am now convinced that Crocs are the best shoe for Roo. I wore my orange ones last year and had no problems with my feet
I wore my ballet slipper style Crocs last year (first time I'd worn Crocs at all). They were awesome. I didn't have any foot problems (other than the next paragraph), and I have very sensitive skin, even on my tootsies.
Just make sure you put sunscreen on your feet where the holes are if you were Crocs or something similar. You CAN get sunburned through them (although it does give your friends the chance to laugh at your polka dot feet).

ahaha. i don't sunburn at all so i'd probably let my feet tan just to get polka dots on them. i love doing stuff like that for a good laugh.

anyone have any experience with mions (pronounced my owns)? they're ergomorphic and seem real comfortable, but i dont think i could walk all weekend in reefs or rainbows, but they are kind of expensive and some help would be nice before i drop a ton of $ on them

I am a believer in KEEN shoes.
I love the fact that my sandals and my work shoes both have the same footbed. I am about to pick up a third style - more of a light hiking type. The toe area work well with my feet. I hate pointy toed shoes, because my feet aren't. I suspect that the Croc's have the wider toe area.
I spent a month in them when I was in Africa. Be it in the vehicle, on the beach, in town, I loved them. The sole may be a little soft if you are in really thorny areas. I had an Acacia thorn come up through the sole - OUCH.
I like the breathability of the sandal - Newport leather.
I also saw some pretty cool mens shoes on the Croc's website. I may have to investigate.
mrbown - Size 16 feet- good grief, you're going to give the guys wearing size 9 shoes some sort of complex. Now, the sales of Corvettes, and other Pen..extenders would go up sparking the economy. Also, with that information, and your posting in the "mingle if your single" thread should either make some people very interested - or fearful for their life (could be either gender ).
