I fuckin' love my Merrell Moab 3s, had the ones and twos for probably 15 years, one pair each. Just upgraded to the 3 a few months ago and they're as wonderful as always. Supportive, not too hot, fuckin' love the Vibram soles too.

One more thumbs up for Merrell, specifically Moabs. I'm a recent convert after finding that a ton of people in my industry swear by them. I also have a pair of Moab Speed, which are lighter and more breathable, styled more like a running shoe than a hiker. Very comfortable.
Merrell seems to run a lot of sales and they always have clearance shoes on their site. The last pair I bought were surprisingly cheap after applying a promo code I found on slickdeals.net. I strongly recommend that site, unless you enjoy paying top dollar for everything.

I'm back after 10 years. I've been to a LOT of festivals since then (just no Bonnaroos since 2014). I finally have some insight and feedback for this thread.
PALLADIUM BOOTS. I have a pair of Chukka's that I bought ahead of Hulaween 2014. After a DECADE they're holding up after dozens of festivals and vacations. It's nice because they can be full combat boot or ankle length when folded down. I put a nice pair of memory foam insoles in them and I can walk in them all day, even on rocky terrain and my feet feel great. Cannot recommend them enough. At festivals I usually switch it up between my palldiums and a good pair of sandals or sanuks. It's good to switch off between different shoes that will hit different pressure points to avoid blistering (though I've never blistered in my Palladiums) I usually wear the sandals and sanuks around camp, and sometimes during daylight hours.

These Hokas are giving my Merrells a run for their money. Supportive but way, way lighter than the Moabs. Gonna bring both, start in the Moabs and move to the Hokas on Fri or Sat.
