I need three pair...
1. tennis shoes that are comfortable and you do not mind getting dirty (new balance for me) 2. flip flops (for centeroo) 3. mud boots (won't always need them, but you will be glad that you have them if its raining.

I need a new pair of rain boots this year. I could not get them off last year. Insidejoke had to pull them off every time. Very uncomfortable too. Maybe Ill invest in something with a little better quality.

Dunham makes some sturdy boots, I've had this pair www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?style=MWN918HS for a couple of years and I love them. Feels almost like a sneaker, waterproof, great tread. I don't think that model is still available but I can recommend the brand (I've had other Dunham's that had been as good). Dunham is New Balance's boot brand, one of the very few boots that come in very wide widths. The widest boot I could find at the local boot store was a EEE that was just a little too tight. Got a pair of 11.5 EEEE from Sierra, fit like they were made for my feet. The other nice thing about Dunham's is that their sizing seems to match up exactly with New Balance sizing, so if you find a New Balance size that fits, you can order Dunham's and they should fit too. Disclaimer: I have no connection w/ Dunham, I know it sounds like I'm a shill, I just love my boots.
Crocs. All day every day. They do have some different styles that maybe aren't AS ugly, and they really are just so comfy. I can also see the appeal of some well fitting sandals (sanuk, teva, etc.) but I say leave the rain boots at home and go barefoot if the mud is that bad, unless you're some sort of germophobe, just watch where you step.

Where can i get a pair of those native shoes? They look perfect for the farm!
not sure, their website says they should be out in stores spring 2010. i would just keep checking the native website. if they are under 60$, i am def gonna try to snag a pair.
Honestly I went to my first Bonnaroo last year and it rained a-lot the first 2 days and my "Shoe" of choice were 16 inch knee high Northerner rubber boots. they deal with the mud like no other in fact im thinking about buy a bigger pair for this year. i didnt even wear high socks with them. hands down my Northerner boots that have been re-named by me "My Bonnaroo Boots" are the best choice for footwear at the roo
okay i'm sure someone might of already mentioned Vibram Five Fingers, but just in case no one has check them out. i wore them at bonnaroo last year and loved them. they have a pretty solid sole and are very breathable.
Yeah I wore my Sanuks Thursday as well. Mud, rain, and Sanuks do not go together. Other than that, I love mine.
I actually thought my Sanuks (Donnys) performed very well in the mud and rain, other than turning a pukey shade of brown over the course of Roo weekend I had no problems at all. I might have just gotten lucky with the way mine fit though, who knows.

i wore crocs last year and they were great cause they cover the whole foot and you can wash all the crap off of them and its like they were never dirty. they work for any situation during bonnaroo. The native shoes just look like a cooler version of crocs so those seem like the "best shoe" this year.

I love my Chacos. Didn't take the plunge until last Fall, but now I don't know how I lived without them. And for rainboots, I got mine in the hunting department at Wal-Mart for $8 and they've saved me through every festival season for about 10 years now.
I don't know how you guys can wear rubber shoes in that heat. My feet sweat with just a little rubber under them, much less surrounding them. Admittedly, I've never owned Crocs or Natives, so I don't really know what I'm talking about.
Just got these babies, should be well broken in by Roo. My first ever pair of Chacos:
Just snagged some sick sanuks at EMS on clearance. By the way, I tried on a bunch of pairs and depending on which model they are they will fit differently.
I wanted to buy Chacos last year... ordered them from zappos, but after two different sizes they just didn't fit me right
I went with these Merrell sandals instead - LOVED THEM! They are so comfy. I have a really high arch and they worked great, kind of mold to your feet. Saw them the other day for $60 and DSW... tempted to buy a second pair but I resisted. www.zappos.com/merrell-san-remo-raspberry-leather?zlfid=111
