Crocs are possibly the worst thing ever. I got a pair because everyone raved about how comfy and awesome they were.. I can't even wear the dang things for 30 minutes without my feet killing me.. I literally end up limping around in them. How on earth could nobody else have this problem? It feels like they are bruising the tops of my feet whenever I take a step. :[
Yes.. I've had them for a while now but I don't wear them. When I first got them I tried wearing them a few times but it was just impossible. They leave the tops of my feet very sore.

I ordered some slip-on crocs for roo last week, I'm just hoping they arrive soon. I was convinced by many people to get crocs, but i made sure to get a pair that didnt look ridiculous. So hopefully no sore feet this year for me.
I was forced to sit through the hell of Jimmy Buffett one day at JazzFest because I only had flip flops for a very muddy day. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU! ;D Bring an extra pair of shoes.
Sooooo this thread probably has info on good mud/rain shoes, but I couldn't find it. Just sanuks, crocs, flip-flops... Anyway looking at the current weather forcast, anyone have any comfortable reccomendations for boots/shoes that will keep my feet from becoming rotten with all the forecasted rain?
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.

crocs are the perfect mud/rain shoe. if you get them muddy just rinse them off with water while theyre on your feet and theyll dry as you walk around. last summer i went camping in maine and the path we had to take would sink your feet into the mud because of all the rain, but with my crocs i could walk through the path and straight into the lake and never have to worry about even taking them off. they are the all terrains shoe as far as im concerned

In 2007 I said there would be a Crocs tent where you trade your dignity for a pair of Crocs! I ended up leaving my flops by the door at the house! BAD CHARLIE!
don't know if this has been suggested yet but here goes. Im addicted to my flippy floppies and cant stand closed toes in the summer rain or shine. also not down with crocs at roo, last time i kept getting pebbles and such from the paths stuck and id have to stop and shake em out. Soooooooo i decided to put skin tone bandaids on my big and second toes, right where the flip connects to the flop, to keep from getting any wear on my tootsies. my feet were money all weekend! yay! (also wrap once with a small bit of medical tape and... boosh, waterproof!)

Last year I had crocs, flips flops and mud boots. If you have to stay in the boonies in a tent this is going to mean walking across the wooden bridge. If it rains then it doesn't matter what are on your feet, you might as well be wearing roller skates. All three (plus barefoot) are acceptable recommendations.
Someone mentioned them earlier. Vibram FiveFingers are amazing!!! They are very thin, so you don't even have to worry about ankle support (can't really roll your ankle if it isn't elevated by a sole). However, they have padding where it counts, and you can really feel the Earth as you walk; grass feels especially good. They are machine-washable and durable too! And they're virtually weightless and VERY breathable. I'll be rockin' mine this year.
I'm going to reiterate my post from last year. I wore these on Friday in 2009 when all of Centeroo was a mud pit, and they were freaking awesome. You get the feel of going barefoot without the worry about used needles. Also they were very easy to clean by washing them out in the fountain. And there's no chance in hell that they'll stick in the mud and come off your feet. Great shoes.
Seems like those would bother me, in between the toes. I wore the Sanuks seen above last year, and they worked perfectly. Probably going to wear them again this year, maybe take my Keens with me for when I get tired of the Sanuks.. and my Nomadic State JC rope sandals for in camp possibly. I do love shoes.

Keens when it is dry, Crocs (with back strap) when it is kind of wet/muddy, and rain boots when we have a major storm like last year. Worked well for me. No blisters, no sore feet.
I love love love my Croc Olivia's I bought at roo last year. Saved my feet. I've never worn Sanuks so I can't say which is superior, but for myself, they are the perfect footware.

the five fingers look neat.im going to look at some when i go to the outfitter at monteagle. i LOVE that place.
i will stick with my sanuks and take my reef bottle openers and my tevas. for those of you who like the thong sandals. the reefs have a massaging sole. mine has a bottle opening in the sole (i dont know why) and some of them have hidden compartments. im not a flip flop person but they are GREAT.the tevas are great water shoes.
I got a really cheap pair of shoes at Sears last year. They're made by Lands' End. They're mesh on top but like a Merrell on the bottom so I get the traction and protection I needed but wearing them without socks was comfy and able to breathe in the heat.

I always bring a bag with all the shoes and sandals I own and they all end up getting worn. Maybe I've just had bad luck with rain at my last 4 festivals, but I always seem to need at least 3 different pairs.
