Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I have an oddly-sized wide foot, 8.5 3E, and took a chance on a pair of Sanuk 9D shoes. The sole is just wide enough to not be uncomfortable, and the canvas sides have enough give for my wide feet. The length was just about right, so I'm thinking Sanuk's run a little smaller or at least shorter than advertised. This review is based on the (now defunct? got it on clearance for $25) Male Sunbrella model, which is one with a rubbery flip-flopish sole. The sneaker-type models' soles look much narrower, like Vans, which do not contain my feet comfortably.
Hopefully that info helps other rooers with wide feet.
I may decide to pick up another pair of something for Roo. Can a fellow wide-footed Rooer make a suggestion? Are Crocs comfy?
I have really wide feet, and Crocs are really the only thing I can wear comfortably at Roo. I wear the Mary Jane style.

Don't take Toms if you ever plan on wearing them again. I took a pair of navy ones last year, and they were destroyed. I thought you could simply throw them in the wash, so I did just that when I got home. WRONG. They were never the same. I think I'll leave the Toms at home and bring my trust seven year old Chacos (I love a good chaco tan). In the event of mud and rain (I.E. This past weekend at Shaky Knees in ATL), I will bring out the Hunter Boots. BEST. RAINBOOTS. EVER.

I've had my new school Crocs for about a month plus now and it's the best $50 I have spent in a while Very happy. They made it thru Coachella and they fit like gloves. cr****

I'll have to get a pair. I've always been turned off by the chunky look of them and can't help but think I'll look like Mario Batali, but comfort is paramount when you're on your feet for 4 days, I guess.
After finding this thread last year I went out and bought a pair of Sanuks for my first Bonnaroo. I loved them. A pair of the shorty sidewalk surfers. They felt great the moment I put them on. I'm a pretty true size 8 women's. Well, a year later and one festival and two trips to southeast Asia and these things are so stretched out they are pretty much unwearable. They are pretty much a closed toe flip flop. Knowing Roo is coming up I ordered another pair but, this time a size 7. I'd love for them to last more than a year. But, boy are these puppies tight. Like cramps in my foot tight. I was about to ship them back but, put on the old pair and talked myself out it. This new pair will surly stretch like the other pair???? Well, I know what I'll be wearing for the next month. Also wanted to add if you have a Ross near by I always see them there. Women, check the boys and men's sections. They get mixed up in there. I ordered my latest pair online cause I wanted a certain color but, if you aren't picky it's worth checking out.

I just got these slip on teva's (clifton creek) and really liking them so far. They are like sanuks. Very comfortable and have been wearing them no socks. I think they will be perfect for the farm.

Hey, if you guys are looking for extra pairs of shoes that you know won't make it out of the farm, I just picked up some pretty comfy slip ons from target for 20 bucks. It's an extra pair to go along with my nicer sanuks.
My daughter's feet have taken on a life of their own in the past few weeks, and I just earned myself her like new Sanuks! So that's two pair of them to go with my Yoga Mat flip flops..Also going to bring my Zemgear barefoot shoes...Should be all set.
Okay so... I just spent an entire day at Universal Studios and took the shoes I plan on wearing to Bonnaroo. Keen sandals. See below. The next day my feet were so sore I could barely walk. No blisters, but the balls of my feet were the worst off... I thought maybe the best route would be shoes made especially for nurses, but they don't really breathe for outdoor wear... At this point, I dont care the price, but need a good walking/standing shoe if I'm going to make it at Bonnaroo for 4 days. At this point, I'm running out of time for trial and error.... Please help!
I have to throw my recommendation for Sanuks as well. I usually bring two pairs of the sidewalk surfers and my Chacos. I find rotating between shoes gives me the best results.
In 2012 I wore some old Asics Onitsuka Tigers "Ultimate 81's" pretty much the whole time except some of sunday when it rained* Asics are my all time favorite everyday shoes, I have a few pairs that I like to wear with certain things or whatever and I LOVE them...They make me feel like I'm a ninja. They were perfect for all the dry weather and long walks of Bonnaroo. I'm reading this thread be cause I am having a difficult time buying shoes that arnt Asics and I may even just wear the same ones I wore last year.
*So when it rained I put on crocs...yes..crocs that an extra pair my dad had. but they were seriously clutch that night going through mud that would have permaclogged my asics+socks.
I'm thinking I can always go with last years schtuff. Or I can spend money...with an "investment" attitude on some Vibram Five Fingers "KSO's". I'd probably only wear them maybe 3-4 times a year at festivals and outdoorsy stuff and the only mention of them I've seen on here so far said that they arnt good for walking on the gravel...but my buddy says its amazing after you break them in. (He wears them very often, anywhere)
and now EVERYONE here is talking about Sanuk's haha.. I don't really love the look of most of them except the sumo ones with the leather but I wouldn't wear those at bonnaroo...BUT all the sanuks do look comffyyyy..which is of super importance at roo and worth heavy consideration.
I guess it comes down to that I'm only willing to buy 1 pair of shoes right now and the Vibrams can go through mud and terrain than the Sanuks and the Sanuks look like they would be way nicer on my feet but only in dry weather. Can the Sanuk's get wet/muddy and still be tolerable to wear/ok after??
Help me out here. I feel like I'm an NFL coach making a game plan for the superbowl.
So I went to the beach this weekend and found a store that had Sanuks...tried on a couple sizes and just wasn't feelin it. Doesnt seem like my feet are made for Sanuks. I didn't think the look of it was that great on me either, but it was lightweight at least. I'll stick with my Keens, Crocs, and sneakers I guess.
What are the insides of the Sanuks like, materisl wise? I was planning on just wearing my Merrell flip flops, but after walking around in the rain this past weekend- no way. The Merrrells are super comfy- but when they got wet it felt like they were ripping the skin off my big toes.
If you want to see various angles of shoes, it may help to use 6pm.com or Zappos.com (same pictures/videos) and find the specific shoe you're considering, if possible.
Guys, keep in mind we're getting really close though, so you don't want to take shoes that are too new and end up with blisters while walking around a ton on the farm.

The base is the same material you would associate with flip flops or sandals except isn't there some that are made out of yoga mats now? The upper is cloth. They don't line it or anything.

Slip on vans, flip flops, and my bare feet. Only things I've ever taken. I've always considered Sanuks but vans work just as well for me. I couldn't imagine wearing tennis shoes personally.
Was planning on wearing my Sanuks most of the time at Roo. Wore them over the weekend at cousin's farm in the rain. Tried walking through mud in them but the mud kept sucking them off my feet. They washed up nicely though.
I guess if it rains and gets really muddy I'll just go barefoot in the mud.
Well I went to the store and got some "Vibram Five Fingers" today for only $35! They were a different color and from last year but I like the color and they were so much cheaper so I went ahead and got them. I think I did well haha.

I know I'm about to anger the demon rain gods, but has anyone worn the five fingers in muddy situations/rain? I'm trying to decide whether or not to bring my rain boots since they're pretty massive, clunky, and god knows don't breathe what so ever. My alternative would be wearing my five fingers in the rain/mud and doing some deep cleaning of them when I head back home.

Bring rain boots, and pray you don't have to wear them!
