O yea, my edit reminded me of iron and wine, i think thatd be pretty nice, specially with calexico. More edits, THe mountain goats would also be a good chill show. I still want a bunch of good jam bands to be added, i just havnt posted them because everyone else have.

I think sufjan stevens studio stuff is a little boring, but i also think he has the potential to be a good show. LCD Soundsystem would definatly be an awesome addition, i forgot them and they're on my predicitions .
Does anyone else think saul williams and dangermouse would be very very cool?
I tried Saul Williams last year....I really feel like I should like him (he seems like he's really got his head in the right place/I really enjoyed what he had to say on the Coachella movie), but I just didn't dig it....
But The Mars Volta played after him (I think they are actually friends), and I'd probably give my pinkie toe for them to come back

Based on the killer set last year I would be so so happy is The Secret Machines got added again.
I am a huge huge white stripes fan but I don't think its going to happen. I would guess white stripes would be asked before the new band. They would be a weird choice to play but it would fit. Lots of jammin and improv could happen. I don't know any other rock band that can put songs together like Jack can, reminds me of the long runs Phish does when they play 5 songs together as one. White stripes do that very very well.
Ryan Adams (with his band or solo - not w/ Phil Lesh) Damien Rice Galactic M. Ward Mofro Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings (late nite) Willie Nelson Fiona Apple Spoon Broken Social Scene Sufjan Stevens Wolf Parade Papa Grows Funk Taleb Kweli Danger Mouse Lucinda Williams Tift Merritt Iron & Wine/Calexico Black Keys Old Crow Medicine Show (the first show of last year, and one of the best, IMO)

there are probabaly other threads but DAMN, who else saw the secret machines last year? That was amazing....they played a lot of stuff off of their upcoming album and even though it was unfamiliar it was really engaging. Its sad, because i dont know if ill ever see a show like that again from them...even as a headliner on their own tour i doubt you are going to hear a 2 hour set like that.

That was, hands down, my favorite set last year. My friends stayed at Carl Denson and missed it all.

aa lot of indie rock has been in this lineup and it seems like alot more is wanted. I would like to see some more pscyhedelic rock bands that I think would fit into the fest a bit more then bands like arcade fire or decemberists. (both of whom I love) I don't wanna see the roo become like a new ACL or coachella.
I would love to see the 2 bands below for the late night jam out sets
The Warlocks The Brian Jonestown Massacre
last BJM show I went to they played for just over 3.5 hours to like 30 people in the club. I think at one point they had been just jamming out to this one song for at least 30 mins.
I too would love to see the BJM added. Also with the BJM connection, how about Black Rebel Motorcycle Club? Their new Americana vibe would fit in perfect as far as I'm concerned. The album didn't wow me, but I've been curious to see how they sound live with this new stuff.
On a side note, I was just thinking that Jack White and Brendan Benson's new side project, The Raconteurs, has a great chance of being added. They've released the single overseas and the album is supposed to be released here sometime this summer if I'm not mistaken.

If there were any exceptions to the lack of repeats i think both the mars volta and secret machines, which i missed and hate myself for, would be worthy.

on a side note to aquariumdrunk
The new BRMC songs sound really good live. I saw them a few months ago (and will again on the 10th) and they did a great job with it. I love the harmonica. They first started with about 5 songs from Howl and then busted into the fuzzy stuff from the first 2 albums. It would make a killer night set. All the smoke and backlighting makes for a killer fuzzed out trippy rock show.
They will be in Chicago @ the metro on the 8th of Feb if you are living there.
Keller Williams Ani DiFranco Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals Govt Mule or Warren Haynes Acoustic Jurassic Five The Roots Oysterhead Fiona Apple (That would be a good surprise) I'd even watch The Mars Volta again (great stage presence last year. One dude shredded the flute like freakin Jethro Tull; awesome) It would be sweet it MMW could bring out John Scofield
THESE ADDITIONS WOULD MAKE THIS YEAR SWEET! Just Keller, Ani, Fiona, and Ben Harper would make this sweet, but we definately need Warren around playing with somebody.
Has anyone thought about the SuperJam. Who do you think we'll get this year? ;
