Those of you who like the Roots or J5 should check out Little Brother. Their new album "The Minstrel Show" is great. Another very cool hip hop clan. I'd love to see them added.
bob dylan the white stripes and/or the raconteurs willie nelson leon russell the flaming lips (feel like this one's gonna happen) dr. ralph stanley rufus wainwright alejandro escovedo junior brown spiritualized supergrass wilco
modified to add rhett miller hank williams III (THAT, my friends, would tear bonnaroo to shreds.)

Atmosphere is on Rhymesayers Entertainment, which is basically run by Slug of Atmosphere. Atmosphere is hip-hop at its finest, go download "Always comin back home to you", "shrapnel", & "reflections". These 3 songs show some of the diversity these guys possess. I would love to see some more underground added, Sage Francis would be sweet.
I would love to see Muse Secret Machines (Awesome late-nite show last year) Modest Mouse Interpol Queens of the Stone Age Flaming Lips Ben Harper Mogwai Jack Johnson Keller Williams Postal Service STS9(Going to see them 2/10/06 in Chi-Town) Buckethead Moe and for gods sake please dont put Dave on the bill again.

I was intrigued by this comment and did some searching on the web. Using a variety of search terms, I first found that the "hates white people" thing is about Lauryn Hill in particular and not the Fugees. I found a lot of people repeating the claim that she said something to the effect of "if I knew white people would like my album I wouldn't have made it". Some say this was said on MTV, some say on the Howard Stern show. I found absolutely nothing that confirmed that she ever actually said any such thing. No transcript of the comment, no commentary by anyone who actually saw/heard her say it.
This Urban Legend debunking site sums it up best (and I did some searching to try to confirm what they say): www.snopes.com/quotes/lauryn.htm
I'm not the biggest Fugees fan, I could certainly understand why some people would have a problem with some of her views on race (although I don't), and for all I know maybe she does hate white people, but as far as I can tell she never said "I hate white people" or anything to that effect.

I've heard this about Lauryn Hill as well. THe way it was told to me, it was something about not wanting white kids to buy her albums.
Also, I have a suggestion. Why not Paul Simon? The guy has incorporated so many different types of music, so many different sounds into his music over the years. I feel he would be an absolutely perfect fit for the festival, maybe not this year, but at some point. He could fill that afternoon slot that Dylan filled in '04. With that said, it'd be great to have Dylan back.
Paul Simon has always been at the top of my dream Bonnaroo wishlist, but just doesn't seem realistic to me.
The good news is, I would have said the same thing about Radiohead a few months ago or David Byrne a few years ago, so you never know.
Simon doesn't hit the high notes like he used to, but he is still one of the best live acts going. Along with his ginourmous talents as a singer, songwriter and performer, he consistently puts together the most amazing musicians on earth as his backing band.

Was watching some concert clips today and caught the cure, they were actually pretty good. I think thatd be a cool act at the roo, but it would probably seem a little out of place. You still gotta love those bass lines though.
