it's the 800000th "leaked" lineup, but it actually does include all of the confirmed bands.

while i should be reading for my classes, i am instead going through a bunch of speculated artists (not just my list but others too) and seeing if anything is on their websites. so i will modify as i go...i know i'm a dork but i just am so impatient. (i'm not going to post links cause i'm just using the artists official websites)
pearl jam: on their tour dates they are touring ALL summer...but there is a gap between june 3 and the 23rd. definitely bonnarooish activity.....;-) oh and, that is the only real gap between their dates (i mean of course there a couple days in between some..but that's the only one larger than say 3 days.) it's as if they knew they were playing but didn't know the confirmed dates yet, so they just left most of the middle of june open....that or they just want a long break since they are touring most of the year. AND thanks to one of the nice members of the board...i now know that this is from 2006!!! sooooo sorry.
okay well so far that's all i could really find besides the stuff people already knew. i think my method only works if they are touring during the summer and then just don't have tour dates for the bonnaroo dates.
sorry but keep fingers crossed for bob dylan! or i will anyways and i'll keep em crossed for y'alls favorites bands/artists!!
Those dates are PJs from 2006...and Dylan is my fave, so my fingers are crossed too (seen him every year the last 4yrs so it would save me a trip if he didn;t come near me next summer

That's actually from 2006 cause I went to the Chicago show on May 17th. They are supposed to be in Europe in the summer of 07 along with playing Roo but no dates have been announced yet so its still just a rumor along with the Police and Bob Dylan being only a rumor of the headliners
Dylan always tours the midwest and south around that time of year it seems, so not a big stretch...I've always seen him around June and it's always been in Louisville, Lexington, or at Bonnaroo...And how great is it that at 1:30am on January 23rd there are like 20 people on the board! I think this is the earliest I've been this excited about roo ever.
oooh okay i definitely should have checked the year!! whoops.........i know it's so crazy..i'm glad i'm not the only one staying on here this late!!! yay bonnaroooooo
The Lineup is pretty sick. I just can't wait for the official lineup. Then maybe a good nights sleep....
ya right man. after the inital we gotta sweat the additions. and instead of a good nights rest you lay there listening to music and thinking about how great it will be live at roo. and dont forget the torture involved with wating for the schedule. and the torture of getting the schedule and seeing the conflicts. dam rooing is hard work.
To take a few steps back, I still see the following acts as having the potential (some have a better chance than others) at scoring a headline spot...in addition to the Police and Pearl Jam. Don't flame me for these suggestions -- this isn't a wish list, per se, just a quick brainstorm of bigger acts that have a shot at the big stage:
Possibilities: --Bruce Springsteen & the Seeger Sessions Band (those of you at Jazzfest last yr know what I mean when I say the vibe would fit perfectly at Bonnaroo - crossing my fingers) --REM (not my favorite band, but they just got elected into the hall of fame this year...and fit the Petty bill of '06) --Prince --Coldplay (they are touring this spring; don't think they're likey, but wouldn't completely rule them out) --Paul McCartney --DMB --WSP (doubtful)
strong "pre-headliner" possibilities: --MMJ (before Pearl Jam) --Willie Nelson (maybe a pre-pre-headliner) --Dylan --Ben Harper --Black Crowes --Paul Simon --Van Morrison --John Fogerty
id say some other possibilities are neil young, something dead, a radiohead return(highly unlikely for this year), david bowie, and id take sci on sunday
for the pre headline id say umphreys, michael franti, santana, beastie boys, robert randolph
well thats what i can think of, im sure there are more though.

...this may have been mentioned (and if so, i apologize)...
But Wilco & the Roots are the #2 & #3 Bonnaroo friends on myspace right now. Who knows what that means...I think Keller Williams was in the top 8 last year, so it might not mean anything...but worth speculating on, I suppose.

Rage Against the Machine just confirmed to reunite at Coachella, any chance they could headline Bonnaroo?
Can't see it happening. It is supposed to be a "one-off" thing and Bonnaroo wouldn't be doing much to isolate itself as the original/special event that we come here to drool over....
Let them have their Rage....I'll take The Police, PJ, Neil Young, Tom Waits, etc...
...and I may get some backlash for this but, My Morning Jacket rocks just as hard if not harder than Rage.
atlfan, your possibility list was pretty good....wow coldplay would be so awesome...their concerts are amazing. have they ever played a festival before though? i mean they are a huge band...maybe even bigger than radiohead nowadays. but anything's possible
They were one of Coachella's headliners 2 yrs ago, I believe. Gotta think they're unlikely, but wouldn't completely rule 'em out. Would much rather see them than the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I'm blah on the rhcp headlining. i do believe however that it will be a great show and a good time, i'd just prefer some other direction for for a head liner........like....ummm... animal collective playing late night for 3 hours, with people walking around the crowd dressed as catholic monks with devil horns handing out free Peyote!

Whats up everybody?! I've been a compulsive reader of this board since before last Bonnaroo and have finally decided to join in the discussion. I know this is a huge long shot but with the Bob Dylan talk I was thinking-- I personally don't think he could headline by himself having seen him a couple times (including @ roo) but, It's the 30th anniversary of the Basement tapes made with The Band, Robbie Robertson and Levon Helm are getting to the point where they don't have much time left to forgive each other. Maybe Bonnaroo worked some of their magic (a la Phil Lesh and Bob Weir) and got these guys together? I think Bob Dylan and The Band would be an unbelievable/historical show! Any opinions on the odds?
hey man i didnt hear anything about that, although im just imagining the greatness that would come from that, hopefully roo hooked something up like that we'll have to see
