I suppose this doesn't really prove anything, but FYI there were very many names in common between this supposed leak and the supposed leak from wikipedia. 19 total, they are: Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Pearl Jam, My Morning Jacket, Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, The Shins, The Roots, John Butler Trio, M. Ward, Band of Horses, The Hold Steady, TV on the Radio, Lily Allen, Grizzly Bear, Cold War Kids, Man Man, The Slip, and Girl Talk.
edit: hey danbird, I saw him on that same tour, 11/8 here in Baltimore. I wasn't a big fan (an ex had an extra ticket and took me along), but was still surprised at the breadth of his set. Yeah, at least 2 hours. Plus, he proved that he can work well with guest musicians (Lesh).
Regarding Bela Fleck, he's booked solid from the June 14-18 with a major exception: between a gig in PA on the 15th and a gig in IN the 17th there is nothing scheduled for the 16th. And there's a certain festival that's located between the two states.

So this is interesting...
If you look at the history for the Bonnaroo Wikipedia entry you'll see that the same IP address (67.189.234.54) added both the first "leak" on January 8th, and this new one. This means that either this person is deeply involved and bringing info as soon as it becomes available, or he (or she) is just messing with us.
hahaha it doesn't. The only thing I added to Wiki was the confirmed acts with their original source sites. John Butler, The Hold Steady, Cold War Kids, etc.
While it may be pie-in-the-sky, I am curious as to why the removal of the entire paragraph isn't tracked in the pages history. Am I missing something or isn't that strange?

You're right, I should admit to being ovezealous. I just wanted to emphasize how very unlikely this "leak" is by looking at the context of the post. Somewhere there's a kid who made a list and posted it to Wiki, and when it was taken down made no effort to continue his prank with claiming sources or falsifying evidence, but rather lay in wait for things to cool down, then posted a new list with a different, vaguely explained source. It's not just a lie; this is a half-assed lie. And that's why I wanted to call it and help put it to rest.
I know this doesn't pertain to this thread (can I plead ignorance, I'm a newbie?) but how do I get a regular pic off my comp and make it my avatar? I apologize for posting this in here but I didn't know where else to put it / ask???
Just trying to sift through the hype. It being quickly taken down gives it some relevance or ups its "truthiness" because if someone wants it down, than it must contain dangerous, volatile info, right? lol

Yeah, unfortunately. I guess now I wish it had been taken down. ill take any bit of truth in a leak that I can get at this point.
I can't really see Trey not being there. I hope he tows his 10 piece along. If that lineup had CSNY and 10 piece TAB it would be absolutely heaven for me.

Thats a pretty solid line up. My perfect lineup would be that +any phish or dead member's solo act, flaming lips, wilco, and ween.
I haven't seen this rumor anywhere, but it is possible that the Smashing Pumpkins could play. They are getting back together and plan to play some European festivals this summer, but there is no word on US festivals. But if they did play Bonnaroo, that would raise the bar like Superfly said they want to do.
Also, on Ween's website, they said that they have gotten festival offers. But Ween plays alot of festivals, so that dosen't mean they will play Bonnaroo. But its still a possibility.
Trust me that is way fake. I was the one that actually made the first page for Vegoose. And when this past Vegoose came around I started a list of leaked bands and constantly updated it. It was even referenced in a rolling stone article and a livemusicblog article. But it got quite boring. and time consuming because lots of people constantly added stuff.
i guess dylan could have lots of guests. maybe that would help. the on person that i know who came back from a dylan show with great things to say was at a show where jack white came out and jammed with him for a while. i wanna say it was in grand rapids michigan but im not sure. we were from toledo so it was somewhere in this area. but i think with a couple of well planned guests he could make it a better show then his previous roo showing. i still dont thing it should headline. and i am guessing that this leak is incorrect. if i was going to make a 'fake leak' i would make sure that none of the bands on it could be disproved. i think its pretty likely that any of us sould have made that list with our knowledge of roo and the info/rumors on the net. im still thinking the least likely is the police. trust me ive got my fingers crossed. but it still seems unlikely. although it is sounding more and more likley everyday. and also how many bands were on the inital lineup last year. seems like more the this leak has.

I would'nt get too excited about this "leak". Cause your gonna be really let down when the band/artist you were soooo hyped about ends up not on the official lineup.
I remember last year's intial announcement had a lot of bands I had never heard of. (Electric Eel Shock, Marah, Dungen, etc.) On this "leak," I've heard of nearly every band. That's why I think it is BS. Oh, and Dylan won't headline. This ain't '69.
