I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
just stick it in the briefcase with the other IOU's
Maybe I'm missing something but, how about if I owe you 3 karma points?
haha I was making a reference to Dumb and Dumber, the fact that they have all those IOU's in the briefcase for like a million bucks, haha, guess that was a little too vague to understand it, my bad

but I'll take any karma you give, thanks
Sorry about that. I take great pride in having never seen that movie. Let's make it 4 and call it even.

Thanks for the link, my main man! I'm listening to them right now.
The free-form approach to the horns and guitar on "Melting Chariots" makes me hope and pray for the day that Omar finally gets his wish and gets Ornette to agree to tour/record with him/Volta! One day after this, I will die perfectly happy!
"Feurza De Liberacion", however, is much less than exciting for me. It just reminds me of an uninspired remix/reworking of "The Bible And The Breathalyzer" which is the only Volta track that I will always avoid. Regardless, I love this little Peurto Rican man. He isn't even remotely afraid of taking some profound chances with his music. Right or wrong....good or "bad", that's what it's all about! Right?
Karma, my homie!

^^^yea I saw that on the coma a few days ago, took the time to read it as I sparked it up and listened to Frances, got me rather excited. Right after I was done reading all that I listened to the 3 new songs and got wayyyyyyy too excited.
I see that, no one is quite sure if that will be the official cover or not. Could be the back cover. Jeff Jordan is doing 12 pieces of art, one for each song and then 2 presumably for the front and back covers. I like that one though, quite interesting. The satellites and transistors and stuff above the houses tripped me out.
^^^^^That "schedule" is so very vague at this point. Even if it were true, it only says "America-starting in Los Angeles". That doesn't mean that a full fledged US tour would not take place. Although it does seem a little less likely with the multitude of international shows, that does not mean it won't happen.
One must hope for TMV at Roo '08. Keep the faith my friend!
Oh I am still hoping for TMV for '08. I'd like to see them as much as I can. I am going to see them for the NYE show in San Fran. Hopefully they come home to Atlanta and Roo.
