yo, please dont mosh at tmv, and bonnaroo for that matter.
im gunna be pissed if a circle breaks out and they just stop playing, which they've done.
they use to stop when they were in atdi. but i think there is moshing at every tmv show. maybe not at bonnaroo, i hope not, but at their shows there is.

like, what kind of pit?
well, the only headline show i saw was in 05 at the tabernacle in atlanta. i was up in the balcony and the whole floor looked like a massive pit. not a violent one, but one of those where it's like the whole crowd is moving together. and you feel like they may all fall over at once or make the floor collapse.

see, thats not what i think of as a pit, thats just the way live shows are supposed to be
a pit is crazy dudes running around in a circle running into each other and shoving and doing quacking two-steps as they flail their arms. that is the crap i hate.

well hopefully there won't be any of that at tmv. but at metallica and mastodon, i would bet on it.

I don't see any type of pit at metallica, Not even mastadon.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

this is interesting:
when i search on bonnaroo.com for the mars volta, i get a 500 error "strange things are afoot" page, but when i type in "kwsdjfjlahdf" i get the standard no results page.....

Of all the heavy bands at roo The Sword is the last i expect to have a pit, thats stoner metal ala Sleep. I really doubt there will be any circle pits at roo, but those aren't the only kind.

Note*As a big "Metal" fan I have always thought the pits were the worst part of the whole scene and if Cedric sees it going on he's going to stop the show and reprimand them as seen in a few clips on youtube from the A.T.D.I. days

AND they were scheduled for Rothbury on their website before it was "removed". F Roo this year I get DMB, Primus, TMV AND Secret Machines! Nice try Roo!

Well, I mean, the New York Times is pretty highly respected in the field of journalism, and the article hasn't been changed to remove the Volta. If it were the New York Post, that would be one thing, but it's the times, and Jambase has traditionally been pretty accurate about additions.
Since the band has been "added" to both Bonnaroo and Rothbury's lineups, only to be removed, I'd say it's likely that they just want the fests to hold off on announcing them, for whatever reasons they may have. Or at least that's what I hope.

this is what im hoping, but it would suck if they withdrew from it, and the times had a earlier list or something. but hopefully thats not the case ::knocks on wood::
I think it's a strong ass possibility that we'll indeed get them... Jambase has been correct on every one that they've "leaked," why start being wrong with Inforoo's most demanded band?
Just doesn't make sense....
BTW... I'm on my way to the bank so I can buy my tickets to my first TMV show! HIIIIOOOO!!!
