I just saw them on MHD, it's Music HD channel that I get here in Baton Rouge through Cox, I'm sure it's fairly widespread, but anyway it was the Nissan Live Set that was on the net a few weeks back. It had TP drumming and he was absurd. They started off with Viscera Eyes, then went into Wax, then did Miranda acoustic, then answerd a few fan questions, then played Ourobourus. It was pretty sweet. if you happen to get that channel, be on the lookout for it.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh the tickets are sold out for there show in atlanta somebody does not want me to see this band
IDK why but I was searching through facebook marketplace and saw this guy at LSU selling 4 tickets to the TMV show in Atlanta at the Tabernacle. See if you can get in touch with this fella, he may be able to help you out.

Just posted this as a new thread, but since there's a Mars Volta connection, thought it might be good for a bump to this thread too.........ahhh the possibilities we could have had. Hehe. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anybody like Money Mark Nishita? If you don't know who he is, here's a little sampling.....
He played keys on the Beastie Boys albums of the 90's: Check Your Head, Ill Communication, and Hello Nasty.
He's the man behind the awesome keyboard riff on Where It's At by Beck.
He is a member of the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Quintet (he of the Mars Volta), and played on most of Omar's solo stuff.
He has a solo career of his own. While I don't know much of his solo stuff, I got his album Push the Button in '98, and the man is an awesome songwriter in his own right.
My only regret is that they couldn't get the Mars Volta this year, because the prospects of an Omar solo show would have been through the roof with this add. Especially since the rest of his solo band basically consists of the rest of The Mars Volta.
Regardless.......this round of additions pleased me.
Yeah, the only thing about Money Mark, is, as has been said by a few other people... his solo stuff is kind of bland, imo.
If there is nothing else going on, I may check it out, just because of who he is and who he's worked with, but I'm not expecting a festival stealing performance from him.
I cannot F'n wait... I'm starving myself of Mars Volta until the concert... I've already purchased some chocolaty fungus for the show... Gonna be SWEEEET....
hey i have become a volta fan recently and my friend told me to listen to the albums while reading some 18 page story or something that can be found online. I think it was for De-loused or frances the mute since those are the only albums i have listened to yet. He said itll help me get the concept since the lyrics are so ambiguous. Do you know where i can find this story?
You can read about the story at a lot of different locations on the internet, but this Jambase article does a pretty good job of delving into the topic:
Ticketmaster is showing that the Atlanta show is cancelled. F UCK!!!! This sucks, I mean yea I did see the most craziest show in San Francisco, but I really wanted to see them at home.
