Notes: * if you want to burn this show to CD, i suggest you start disc 2 with track 8. * I had some talkers around me, you'll hear them sometimes, including that stoned/drunk shouting MF that walked right by me during Boiling Death... and i still can't understand why people would come to a show to chat...SHUT UP! ;o) * Otherwise: flawless recording IMO: excellent sound, great show, great taping position. Damn, i'm good! ;o) (a little narcicism never hurts, now does it!?) * Thanks to flipzoso for reminding me to even go to this show: i would have regretted it if i forgot!

Their label only lets em put out 1 record a year, but omar makes a ton of music and it can't be tmv and it has other band members than tmv
that makes sense.
that is true, and it also allows omar to make music with other musicians than those in the mars volta.
like in his current tour ximena sings on a few songs, and they have another keyboard player playing with them. and he's released albums with other vocalists.
The volta are by far the number one band im stoked for im hoping that it wont interfere with gov mule but Im just plain delighted to hear some new stuff of octegedron and hopefully catch a few cedric salsa freakouts
i'm hoping there isn't a conflict with mule this time. last time i wrongly chose the flips. i would probably have to choose tmv over them too. but i really don't want to miss them.
^Yeah... Flips were fun in 07 (I've said this a million times) but what I saw at Mule for about 45 minutes blew the Flips straight out of the water and into oblivion.
I know for sure that Mule is going to be one of the best shows of the weekend, it's just what they do; put on some of the best concerts possible. I, too, would chose TMV over Mule, but I'd sorely regret it, I'm sure... But not as much as going to Flips because... TMV is actually putting out good and relevant music, nowadays.
On a side not, I remember hearing that Volta were fans of Flips live show.

And vice-versa. I think that I read an article about the Sasquatch festival last year that both of them were at and it was talking about how the two bands like their live shows.
so i havent seen this posted on here yet but apparently they have new album coming out in june called Octahedron. now i am even more excited to see them
