Take out Viscera Eyes and replace it with Bay of the Baphomets and I would probably die. As it stands, this looks like a great set to me. I cannot effing wait to see Teflon.....LET THE WHEELS BURN LET THE WHEELS BURN, STACK THE TIRES TO THE NECK WITH THE BODY INSIDE!
Oh and Ilyena....that one kills me every time. Cannot wait.
Also can we keep the bitching about the setlist to the comatorium, because reading that thread makes me want to kill myself. The very first post after the set list was posted was bitching about the choice of songs. Really?
With all the people who were converted after stumbling upon the '05 set I think they've really set it up to knock even more people out this year. See y'all there!
I can understand why some people were upset with the setlist, but to me, that's a nice set of songs.
Of course, no jamming in Drunkship is pretty odd, Viscera Eyes is probably their most overplayed live song at this point, but we've got a few new songs that are supposed to be awesome, Cygnus is always great, Roulette Dares is the best opener they have, IMO, and Goliath is one of their most consistently good live tracks.

Apparently it was around 1 hr. 45 mins. They're getting an hour and a half so assuming they don't go off on some crazy jams (which they evidently did not at this warm-up show) most of these songs will appear. It's so rare to get a chance to see them around these parts that I'm a little biased towards quantity over length. This time around at least. I really want to hear as much from Octahedron as possible.
And has anybody else pondered that after being started in Feb. 2007 this thread has finally reached fruition?
I didn't really have a clear-cut number one act for this year's Roo even knowing how bad-ass TMV is going to be, but now that it's here there is no question. All I'll be able to think about tomorrow night while we're watching some kick-ass tunes is this show. Hell yeah!

Was pretty awesome. way different from when i've seen em before and cedric didn't joke or say anything and they just played for 2 and a half hours. it was just as awesome and really fun. I really liked the alternate lyrics he used in cygnus from this song...

actually, thats a cover of the Sonics' song. check it out if you like proto-punk.

Any Misfits fans out there....
If so... then you were thrilled when cedric threw in the random lyrics from "bullet"... just so happens its my favorite song by them, and i was hanging out with cid... and i freaked out when he said that shiz... i was jumping up and down like a mad man
Anyone remember what song it was during?:
"Presidents bullet-ridden body in the street Ride, johnny ride Kennedys shattered head hits concrete Ride, johnny ride
Johnnys wife is floundering Johnnys wife is scared Run, jackie run
Texas is an outrage when your husband is dead Texas is an outrage when they pick up his head Texas is the reason that the presidents dead"
"A lot of people say that we peaked at our first 2 albums and that our new stuff sucks, so we're just gonna play stuff from our first two albums" hahahhahaha
and then all the other random nuts he kept saying about 40.....
"Omar just got a custom Ibanez guitar with 40 frets and 40 strings" hahahah
But a freaking killer show....killer enough to convert 2 of the people that were with me into fans ;D

I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

HA yeah Cedric was SO funny! That show was face melting if I ever saw one! This is the fourth time seeing them, and they just get better and better! This was killer!
Also, that hot air ballon durning their set was just crazy. I was thinking to myself where the hell have I landed. Later durning there set I walked to the fountion to get in the water before heading back, and of montral was doing some really out there kind of stuff too. That's when I noticed the smoke ring flying tree top level. Those two stages were great Saturday afternoon. They fit actually fit together pretty well.
I have a few videos of the show and hot air ballon that I'll but on youtube, and I'll post them here too.

great set. favorite ive seen since santa barbara bowl. cedric was hilarious, omar was jaw dropping. rather enjoyed the set list as well. maybe heard a new song or two? could have just been covers/jams.
does anyone know if Omar was upset about something? They hugged about something in the middle of the set and they said that they were making up cause they were a tight band, I wasn't sure if this was something normal or what?
