The line-up high has worn off a bit. I'm kind of debating whether or not I still want to shell out the cash for tickets. The "BIG 4" are not really doing it for me. I'm only mildly interested in three of the four acts (Jack Johnson is a snooze fest in my book). I'd essentially be going for MMJ, Plant & Krauss, Raconteurs, Willie, ABB, Sigur Ros, BSS, Mastodon, Battles, D-BT and a few others. I don't know; that still sounds great, but I could probably catch most of those acts when they go on tour.
The power of looking up many of these bands on Youtube has made the excitement stronger than ever.
At first I was a little, "eehhhh," but now I'm more excited than I ever thought I would be.
I'll give you credit for Ghostland Link they are pretty cool. but I personally feel like there is still much to be desired as far as potential late night acts go.

Good luck seeing all that for $200.00. I can't get a Wilco ticket for less than $100. Just sayin'

Thats EXACTLY what i'm thinking
Pearl Jam (usually tickets run about 50 dollars) Allman Brothers (100 for Beacon. Gov't Mule was $27 this past tour) MMJ (?) Phil Lesh and Friends +1 Acoustic (The Dead were 42.50 in 04) Derek Trucks(?) Metallica(55.00 for the worst tix possible in 04) 2X Bella Fleck

i'm glad i clicked on that [ghostland observ] youtube video. i have a feeling i'm going to be dancing quite a bit. i think they just jumped ahead to the act i'm most excited to see.
Thank you for the vid. They look fun. They are on my list.
I wonder how in the hell Jack Johnson's PR's pitched this to Superfloy/AC..
"Well...were also headlining Coachella.."??
Regardless of what his website says, I'm still not convinced he's actually closing out the festival. If he is, so be it - not the best move in my book, but it is what it is - I just have a really hard time picturing it.
I got one more video for you of Ghostland. This is from my first indoor venue show. I didn't film it, but it is too good to pass up. I swear he was rolling or something his pupils were huge!

Lol. Maybe a latenight Phil Lesh and Friends Sunday ???
You and I, we're dreamers.
But not even I could dream that big. I'm probably going to end up skipping Lesh and Friends this year, as it's bound to conflict with Sigur Ros or Ghostland. If it conflicts with Kanye... problem solved! Doubtful, though.

What do you guys think the chances are of Ben Harper coming out with some people? Jack Johnson comes to mind... I think it's been a few years since they last collaborated but man they do sound pretty sweet together I thought.
