I'm counting on it being late nite. Otherwise just wont work. Or, give them the oft-wanted Thursday headliner spot so they can play on a stage from sunset into the night.
Jack Johnson isn't a headliner people. Phil Lesh & Friends will probably close. He's just billed in the press release as third because he's a bigger name than Phil Lesh...a la Beck in 2006.
My guess is Jack Johnson closes the Which Stage Sunday.
Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the line-up. Pearl Jam is a kick-ass live show and there's plenty of other great artists that I don't think will disappoint at all.
And to all those that say so-and-so or such-and-such band "doesn't belong on the farm" is not entirely fair. Bonnaroo is about diversity, and I think AC/Superfly succeeded with that. There are some artists that I don't care to see, but it's quite simple.... I just won't go see them.
well this year will deffinatly be poopless. too much money for what theyre giving me. the atmosphere will be different, i think there might even be a chance for some violence this year....which scares me
yeah im very disappointed too. wake up the guy that fell asleep after bonnaroo 2002, and didnt wake up till today. he'd definately go back to sleep. point being that IMO bonnaroo has changed and i think changed for the worse. im just not digging any of these names. i do like phil lesh, allman bros. umphreys..... there are other good names...but nothing really thats like OMG I HAVE TO GO! ...i can go to allgood and camp bisco for the same price and have twice as fun without the metallica and kanye fans.
but for reals.. i havent totally decided if i am going to go or not. i just will have to wait and see who the other 30 add ons will be.
Agreed - Looks like Langerado and Mountain Jam for me. (wipes away tears)

In my opinion, too much dwelling on the headliners. It's rarely the headliners that make the festival for me. Levon freaking Helm is going to be there to put on the best ramble of all time. I'm drooling thinking about the guests who will pop in on his set. And Little Feat!!! It's about time. Loving this lineup. Far exceeded my expectations.

Yooooo, some peeps need to broaden their horizons. All the diversity of this lineup is a beautiful thing. I'm really loving it.
Highlights for me: Against Me!, The Avett Brothers, Battles, Broken Social Scene, Death Cab For Cutie, The Fiery Furnaces, Ben Folds, Gogol Bordello, Iron & Wine, Mason Jennings, B.B. King Talib Kweli, Aimee Mann, My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss The Raconteurs, Robert Randolph's Revival, Rilo Kiley, Sigur Ros State, Tegan & Sara, Two Gallants,Kanye West
And in addition to those personal favorites, I can dig almost all of the other mid-tier bands that I'm not as familiar with.
I also am happy that, as usual, there is what I consider fair representation for the jam band community. While I'm not a fanatic or anything, I appreciate the importance of jam music to the history of Roo. It's just cool to see how far the fest has come, so much so that it has incorporated almost every genre.
I'm not a big fan of any of the headliners, but they don't make me angry, I'll probably just skip them (in the case of Metallica and Jack Johnson) or check out casually (a la Pearl Jam)
Remember everyone... go into it with an open mind and you will more than likely not be disappointed... Remember Roo is about open minds and open hearts... peace
Well, if any of you remember my prayer from a few days ago... This line-up disproves the existence of God (don't smite me, I'm kidding... have a sense of humor) since Metallica is on it. Well guys, it's been nice knowing you, but Bonnaroo has broken my heart two years in a row now with disappointing line-ups. I am not a glutton for punishment and I will be seeking out other festivals. This makes me very very sad.
And Kanye West? wtf? That was outta the clear blue. Didn't somebody come on here and tell us about those headliners weeks ago? I never would have believed it.
Since no one is excited about the headliners, the next thing people will complain about is all the mid tier bands will all be playing at the same time because that is all people will want to see.
and coming soon with support from europes niggest festival promoters..vineland festival)
Vineland Festival got cancelled this year. they couldnt get the bands they wanted to get, and didnt think they could compete with Coachella All Points West, and the other supposad rumored festival going on in the north east the same weekend. so your all holy C3/amazing european festival organizers couldnt even pull off there little festival after boasting about it being one of the greatest festivals in the US. but who came through with a solid line up, and listened to the fans and got most of the bands they wanted (lets be honest here.. i think we all know Zeppelin will be there.. there just holding out till after tickets). no one else could pull that off. Bonnaroo did. give them some credit for busting there butts for the last six months to organize this amazing experience.
Remember everyone... go into it with an open mind and you will more than likely not be disappointed... Remember Roo is about open minds and open hearts... peace
this is going to be my first year at the fest and I'm pretty excited about the list....the headliners don't excite me to no end, but there's plenty of awesome music that is going down the rest of the time. The only thing I really am looking for to be added is some dancing stuff- daft punk, justice, simian mobile disco, whatever. just wanna move.
