Its going to be the Grateful Dead, Phish, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. Zep will be featuring John Bonham and Floyd Syd Barret, and the Dead will feature Jerry and even Pigpen. Janis and Jimi will also make guest appearances. Cream will play a cafe act.
massive attack would be sweet along with galactic and radiohead, if they did Kid A from beginning to end. I doubt there would be that many "mainstream" bands too..

I could see Foo Fighters in the newer slot, but I hate the Foo Fighters Maybe Clapton in the classic rock spot Maybe Dave in the jamband slot, although I'd want to see a Phish reunion or The Dead reunite
I expect the festival this year will be a success in ticket sales - even with the festival getting further away from its roots and even with the downturn in the economy. But, those two issues are possibilities in decreasing ticket sales. If sales slip, we'll see two of Trey, DMB, The Dead, and Widespread.
But if it is a success, Superfly will continue to "branch out", and try to get a diverse set of name headliners. Kanye West's apppearance is the precursor to Jay-Z headlining. Rage Against The Machine and/or Smashing Pumpkins will be likely. And of course, Led Zeppelin. U2 is probably unattainable, so Coldplay would be a big name for them to try that - like Tool and Radiohead - is a bit out of leftfield.
i think ur spot on
No way Jay-Z ever, ever headlines. I don't think Roo wants to set a record for most people ever to hear an N-bomb dropped in a live performance. Seriously, I've seen him live and it was pretty lacivious. Besides, I understand his backstage demeanor leaves much to be desired.
Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band, but I really can't see them at Bonnaroo. Although, I didn't see Metallica coming either, so I could be wrong... and here's hoping. But knowing the habits of the NIN touring machine, they'll be in Europe next year after this summer's US tour, and probably a fall tour too.
Anyway... I really hope the Mars Volta atleast play next year, I don't care about headlining, it's just a bonus. Other acts I'd like to see at Bonnaroo are Mason Jennings, Sonic Youth and (crosses fingers) Bob Dylan.
I could do without the Dylan, as much as it pains me to say it. He just doesn't have it anymore it seems.
You are dead on with a Sonic Youth return. I saw them in Nashville last month and it took me weeks to recover my face after it melted off. And even at fifty Kim Gordon is still the bee's knees.
Might not be the same 'ol Dylan that he used to be, but he's on my list of people I have to see live in concert before I die. I accomplished one last year at 'Roo (Tool) and will another this August in Knoxville (Nine Inch Nails).

Sonic Youth at Bonnaroo would be glorious. I was at the Nashville show as well, and it blew my mind/melted my face. I walked out of City Hall totally awestruck, and I had extremely high expectations going in.
Plus I think Thurston should get some people together and do some noise stuff as well as playing some of his solo material.
