Not sure how possible it would be, but here's an idea
Sunday Night-Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd,or The Who Saturday Night-RHCP or White Stripes (if Meg is healthy again) Friday Night-Rage Against the Machine (keeping w/ the recent Friday metal theme) or NIN
And then add the following groups at the tents and during the day at the big stages: Black Keys,Weezer,Robert Earl Keen Jr.,Queens of the Stone Age,Primus,Oysterhead (if not Primus),Dave Chapelle doing the Chris Rock What stage gig,Kings of Leon,Muse,Rush,Foo Fighters,Green Day.
Paul McCartney: Think he'd be great. Everyone would be singing along. Nine Inch Nails: Another good heavy act that the Roo crowd could enjoy Beastie Boys: Friday night. This would be so much fun
As for who else I'd like to see (i.e. not headliners): - Muse late night set on Which Stage - TV On The Radio - Band Of Horses - Man Man - Grizzly Bear - Ryan Adams & The Cardinals late night in one of the tents

I apologize that this isn't headliner material, but I'm throwing it out there anyway.
I think I mentioned Do Make Say Think earlier in the thread (or in another thread). But I was listening to the Broken Social Scene bootleg, they said while introducing their band members (since BSS and DMST have members in common) "so and so from Do Make Say Think. What do you think, guys? Should Do Make Say Think play Bonnaroo?"
The odds are slightly better for them making '09 after hearing that.

^^^I agree. I love Jay-Z, and think it would be a great experience. It'd be great to have something that could erase the bad taste out of everyone's mouth from this year's main stage hip-hop.
I don't see how Ryan Adams or the Counting Crows haven't played yet.

The only reason I put Allmans there is because 1) they missed this year because of illness 2) they usually fill that spot with a jam-friendly band and 3) a lot of folks go home on Sunday night. With that said, anyone but Widespread would be fine with me.

Friday- Foo Fighters
Saturday- Led Zeppelin
Sunday- something like widespread (them closing out the fest has become like a tradition haha) or maybe dmb or something... maybe phish but i doubt they would headline bonnaroo after just having gotte back together, unless they come back within a few months from now.
But NIN would be pretty sweet, i just think zep's gonna headline it because of robert plant being like "see you soon" after his show w/ allison krauss. And if Zep does it, almost certain Foo Fighters will too. They're like Peanut Butter & Jelly... Or toast and Jam
BUt I'm usually wrong about this kind of thing... any thoughts to the contrary? Comments? Questions? Cries of Pain?
And if Zep does it, almost certain Foo Fighters will too. They're like Peanut Butter & Jelly... Or toast and Jam
I agree with that, though they have been planning on having more events year-round at the Bonnaroo site - if they got everything together in time I would think Led Zep would be a prime choice for their first non-roo event on the site.
Thursday - ?
Friday - NIN/the Cure/Depeche Mode (I think Depeche Mode would be a perfect fit, but not sure how likely it is)
Saturday - Flaming Lips? (either a headliner or late night What stage) Ghostland on Which stage late night
Sunday - DMB/Allman Brothers
Other possible artists Arcade Fire &/or David Bowie, Muse, RJD2, Mars Volta, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Santogold, Justice, The Cool Kids, Interpol, Of Montreal, Ratatat, The Vines, The Polyphonic Spree, Citizen Cope, Dieselboy, The Prodigy, Radiohead (I'm sure they'll play 'roo again just have no clue as to when) Personally, I'd really like to see The Faint there but I'm thinking they're less likely
...any genres i've left out, i just don't know enough about to mention ...of course it could be anyone really

Is Television on the road again? And I thought Perfect Circle was no more...
