Honestly...I'm a Dallas Mavericks fan (I know, my life sucks), and today went from being awesome to sucking total and complete ass. And then I got this news, and I'm happy again...

P.S. Someone should add up in the other thread "comparing headliners" bc Chris Rock is def. not cheap...i havent done any reasearch, but one would think he would demand a nice chunk of change

I would be very sad to know that Chris Rock contributed to the rise in ticket prices...

I've been trying to keep my mouth shut and just lurk in order not to disturb the positive vibes of the Inforoo boards...discovering you guys has made me much happier, knowing that I'm not the only crazy one out there for spending so much time and energy devoted to Bonnaroo months before it happens.
But now I can't hold it in any longer. The lineup this year made me question reality and put me into a deep funk for at least a day. Thanks in part to posts on this board, I was starting to accept it, possibly even look forward to it. But seeing Chris Rock as the first addition makes me seriously question the intent and direction of Superfly/AC on this year's festival. Why does this seem more like a MTV/Comedy Central special than the Roo I know and love? Sorry to those devoted Chris Rock fans but I really can't see how he is a natural choice for the Bonnaroo lineup - the spirit and style of his humor seems almost incompatible with that of the festival, and somehow he is on the What stage?!

Dude. Chris Rock specials are HBO, not MTV/Comedy Central. Therein lies a massive difference.
I was this close to droppin $100 to see Chris Rock this past New Years....this is the most unexpected 100% awesome addition I could possibly think of...
It's funny...I remember seeing Chris Rock's release his tour dates, and I noticed the gap, but I never in my wildest dreams thought they'd take this big a risk...but damn....it's fucking Superfly...
