Im going to see him next friday night in PA. I was just thinkin to myself at work today that I could totally see him playing bonnaroo some day. Hes a hell of an entertainer, he covers a lot of musical genres, and I imagine it wouldnt cost the festival much money to get him in, his best days are past him I think. I dont know. Im not really a fan, im going with a friend who is and Im pretty much down for anything. Doubt he'll be added this year but I could see him playing roo some day. anybody agree?
Ummm.....Bonnaroo IS still being held in Manchester right??
News Flash.... There are ALWAYS wifebeaters everywhere at 'Roo.....everyone is just so dirty by the second day no one can tell them from us dirty hippies anymore.... ;D
There are some that come (from not so far away....) to 'Roo JUST for the "Roo Experience"....notsomuch for the music....amazingly hard for ME to imagine...but true....I know some of them unfortunately....
I found it funny he was calling it the "Rock 'n Roll Revival" tour. Let's see, you got a one hit wonder (that guy from J. Geils Band), a rapper who was once part of a legendary and great rap group but is now a parody of himself, and the guy who got dropped from the Allman Brothers Band. Oh, and Kid Rock. That's so (not) rocking

okay kid rock isn't like my hero or anything BUT...
you gotta give the guy some credit. He is the only artist i know that is played on hard rock, soft rock, country, and rap stations. That's one hell of an accomplishment because everyone knows that country and rap just do not mix.

therefore imho.... kid rock > metallica
Well... personally I'd rather have a band that has become legends in their genre (even though their best days are behind them) than some guy who dabbles in many genres and fails miserably in most.

Yeah, I have no respect for Kid Rock. I remember being like 14 and seeing him at a mall near Detroit, and he was in a red track suit with a wife beater as a shirt handing out demo CDs and thinking he sucked back then when I got home and listened to it. After he got "big" with "Bawitabaw" (or whatever that dumb song is), I saw him at the same mall, wearing the same red track suit, only this time he was signing autographs and talking up his music. That and the whole video where he wipes his ass with Radiohead toilet paper really bothers me. It's pretty ironic when you think about it; white trash wiping his ass with art, instead of creating something artistic. He would deter me from going to Bonnaroo for sure. Bonnaroo is a Music and Arts festival, he does nothing for either side of that coin. I'm just not buyin' what he's sellin'.
