i saw them before - dont remember it all that well.
i do remember seeing double and then having a random woman kiss me on the neck while i was puking into a trashcan.
im seeing them again in august - and dont plan on being able to remember it all that well. :)probably see them at roo too, but if there is a conflict, they lose.

"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski
I suspect they will make it to Bonnaroo. Greg has been in treatment for awhile and he obviously thought he would be well enough to do the April and May shows. As mentioned before it's only one 90 minute show and not a tour or long run like The Beacon shows.
The meds for that can knock you out for a while. It is similar to meds they give to MS but much stronger(its an interferon). I had a friend who went through the treatment. It lasted about 6 months. It is like having the flu the entire time. After words the persons gets there energy back depending on how they took care of their body while sick (nutrition). So it depends when he started. I dont think it would be right away because there needs to be tests done on how far along the disease is.
Well....I've done 27 Allmans shows...and 15 Mule shows...and no...it's not the same....you know who should replace them...The Dickey Betts Band....that would make me happier than they would anyway.

He is coming to Bloomington in May. I never seen him. How is his show?
Dickey's awesome....I hear he has off nights, but I've never seen one....he WILL play all the Allmans songs you want to hear that they refuse to play for the most part...."Blue Sky" Ramblin Man" etc...

it may not be the same, but that doesn't mean i can't enjoy one as much as the other

But the Beacon is Air-conditioned... whereas the Roo is not...

I want the allman bros. I will take gov't mule if that's all your giving, but the only suitable replacement would be the great eric clapton.
Somehow I got a felling the allman bros will play though, I'm sure it will be a good show to get back into the rythm if he's well by then. During rehab and recovery you always have to have a goal to shoot for, maybe playing roo again will be his.

I love the A-Bros (and think this may their strongest line-up ever) but I actually would be just as happy to listen to Haynes and Trucks play for 2 hours.
I'd be really bummed if the Allmans canceled. But as someone else said, I'd rather miss one show and have a healthy Gregg for years to come. It would take one hell of an add to fill that slot. Gov't Mule is awesome, and I wouldn't mind seeing them, but they're no Allman brothers. Maybe the Black Crowes to possibly fill that slot? I could live with that.
