must i say band of horses again...
and as tall as lions! definitely!
circa survive sucked at voodoo last year, though even the pumpkins sounded bad there.... so i'd give them another chance (i just hope voodoo doesnt make stp sound like shit, i've never seen them live)
Led Zep/Eric Clapton/CSNY Rage/NIN(if they keep the heavy rock headliner) Trey/Dave and Friends/some other big jam name
Allman Brothers STS9 Primus MOE GoVt Mule The Roots Derek Trucks Band Flekstones Sphongle Lotus Nershi in some sort of way P FUNK Lettuce Toots and the Maytals Burning Spear Mos Def Ratdog Galactic MMW THE DUO Grace Poter etc etc
I'd love some Circa Survive. They do sound kinda bad in some venues. I've seen them in about 7 different venues and it really depends on how its set up. But they put on a good show and are pretty energetic. At least Anthony, the lead singer is.

I'm really disappointed that Animal Collective and Mates of State didn't make it onto this years line-up seeing as that they're all over the festival circuit this year. Damnit, they owe us in '09, lol.
Anyway, I'm calling at least one of these will make an appearance: Animal Collective Mates of State Do Make Say Think Band of Horses A Silver Mt Zion
...and (this is more of a wish than a call) bring The Pillows over from Japan.

God I wish Mark Sandman was still alive...Morphine would have put on an amazing show at Bonnaroo. I flaked on a chance to see them here in Florida right before he died. I will never forgive myself for that one
I know this isn't technically a band but I think a Blue Man Group show would be ridiculous at Bonnaroo
Ugh... I disagree.
I saw them back in 2000 right after Stone Temple Pilots and right before Rage, and it was nothing but a waste of time... the overwhelming majority was bored, pissed with them

well blue man isnt exactly the thing that would pump you up to see rage in my opinion. ive seen it twice and they put on a fun show, but squeezing them in between those two bands is strange.

sorry to turn your stomach, I was unaware that they had been there before. I just figured it would be interesting to see with all the paint and weird percussion instruments. I stand corrected.
I also think GWAR would be interesting but there might be too many freakouts at that show ;D
A reunion of any of the following (aka the 'dream on' list): Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin The Who The Kinks The Pixies (Superfly should have booked them when they did come back together)
On the slightly more realistic side (aka the 'could certainly happen, but not banking on anything' list): Sex Pistols Television King Crimson Iggy and The Stooges Porcupine Tree Cut Copy Weezer Gnarls Barkley Gorillaz Kimya Dawson Air Daft Punk REM LCD Soundsystem Interpol (long overdue for a visit to the farm, don'tcha think?) Blondie P-Funk
Repeat visit to the farm (aka the 'I shouldn't have waited so long to get my butt down to Tennessee' list): The White Stripes Radiohead Franz Ferdinand Yo La Tengo Modest Mouse Sonic Youth Dave Matthews Band
I'm a huge fan and would be willing to fork over the face value of a Bonnaroo ticket to see them and only them play. Oh dearest 'roo gods, please make it so.

Did I see Dispatch on one of those lists? Dispatch!? Probably my favorite band ever, and would definitely pay full price for roo just to see them. But, sadly, I really don't see that happening. They said after MSG, that they might get together and do a benefit show like MSG every couple years. They also hinted that they next one would be in Colorado (Braddigan's home town, because they did Boston for Chad and NYC for Pete). Also, they each have pretty successful solo (Braddigan and Pete are co-headlining a mini tour that stops in Boston the day we leave...bummer, would have loved to see that, and State Radio is playing at Roo, so they're doing alright as well). Dispatch, although they would be absolutely AMAZING to see at roo, and they killed MSG, will sadly not be on the bill...ever :-\
