They just keep teasing us with this Henry guy. Yeah, I didn't really like the whole Hurley flashback thing. Nothing new really. They threw me a curve when they reveled that Dave wasn't "real" Didn't see that one coming(blatant and unnecessary sarcasm). Who cares about all this other crap. What the fuck is up with The Others? TELL ME NOW D@MNIT!!! Maybe next week.
Wow. I'm the first poster for this episode. So another week of thinking that this next episode would be a great one, and explain a whole lot more. Another week of getting teased for one more episode. Michael's back, and there's gonna be trouble, hey now. But seriously, can we just have some more episodes, without flashbacks. I enjoy them once and a while, but there are more important issues at hand. There better be some pretty big twists coming up here, at the end of the season, with all this teasing and whatnot. You naughty tease, you Lost you.
NOOOOOOO!!!! Stupid 2 hour Alias. I thought the preview last week said there was a new episode this week. Damn you Jennifer Garner and your massive chin.....DAMN YOU!!!
4/26: Clip show (recap/rehash of this season, apparantly emphasizing how the castaways "faith has been tested" whatever that means) 5/3 episode 2.20 5/10 episode 2.21 5/17 episode 2.22 5/24 episode 2.23 (two hours)
(I actually didn't realize how close we were to May sweeps)
I've been trying to keep myself spoiler free, but I just went off the wagon. Not too much out there but I found out two fairly intriguing things, including whose flashback the finale is for.
I noticed, watching the clip show tonight, that the hatch that the smaller group was staying in was The Arrow. In that black light door map, it looks like it's exactly across from the swan station. So I guess they really were on the other side of the island. There's alot of symmetry, black and white, ying and yang, polar opposites and all that, I keep noticing more and more of that stuff.
Only 3 days till the new Lost! I absolutely love the show too, I've never been so obsessed with a TV show before, I feel like I've become a Trekkie or something
Holy. Crap. So yeah it looks like Michael will do anything for his son. Gonna be a pretty complicated back story I bet. Kate better open her mouth and tell them about the glue and the beard and the costumes and that they ARE sophisticated, I don't know why she pretended to buy Michaels BS story and go to get the guns... that is very frustrating!
drugsdowork -- do you know about the whole "Lost Experience" thing? That's what that commercial was a part of... its an "ARG" (alternate reality game - I just learned that) that is going to last all summer until next season with various clues. If you got through on that number you get the first clue which is the password for the web site. The commercial appeared last night in the UK so people have already posted the mp3 of it here: www.thetailsection.com There's lots more to it though that I couldn't get into here if I wanted to (too much information) but if you want to get into the whole game thing and what people have figured out so far go to www.thefuselage.com But be careful you could spend days there... the people there discuss EVERYTHING hardcore, details, details, details and the message board is HUGE.
Is Libby really dead? I know Anna Lucia is, cause of the preview for next week. But I'd be shocked and appaled if they killed Libby off as well. They still have to explore her and Hurley's connection/relationship. I just don't know how Micheal is gonna explain all of this. And I thought Kate did explain, in a previous episode, that there were costumes and the whole hatch thing. I forget who she told though. I don't know, it's pretty crazy. What I can't figure out is, was Micheal brain-washed by the others or was this some kind of deal they made with him to get Walt back. Cause they ARE liars, as someone pointed out in this episode. I mean Anna Lucia has got to be a serious enemy of The Others cause she killed 2 of them, but how many did Mr. Eko kill? It was more than 2. So I get the feeling he's on the hitlist as well(preview of next week where he's falling). Seems like every episode raises more questions then it answers. It's awesome, but incredibly frustrating. Depending on how this season ends, I might have to go buy season 1 to try and figure some of these things out.
That totally caught me by surprise and was the jaw-droppingest cliff-hangiest thing I've seen since Joss Whedon was making TV. Pretty fun.
What I wonder is whether Michael is a full blown brainwashed other or just doing what he feels he has to for Walt.
Plenty of really annoying plot holes but an ending like that makes up for it. Why would Locke lie about what happened to Ana-Lucia? Why would she go along? I could understand Sawyer being eager enough for some lovin' that the gun gets stolen, but I think he would notice fairly quickly.
Anyway, I thought things had been moving kind of slowly lately, but think this weeks ending was probably the season's best moment.
I totally caught the Hanso ad, but I haven't tried to call because I know it will lead to a ridiculous maze of craziness. I had never heard of the "ARG" term, taraanne, but there is some crazy, crazy stuff out there.
Why when chicks have sex on the island, they die later on in the day
That's true. But I gotta think that Sun and Jin have gotten it on, but off camera.
Why would Locke lie about what happened to Ana-Lucia? Why would she go along?
I think Locke knew what she wanted to do, and I think Locke wanted her to do it. Especially cause Henry's mission was to go and "get" Locke. Which also raises some interesting questions. I guess they wanted him cause he was "healed" by the island. Experiments. It creeps me out. That's why that website is soooo wierd. Here's the direct link www.thehansofoundation.org Take notice of the electromagnetic research initiative. Crazy.
I'm thinking Eko is definately not going to die next week because there were previews of him in the finale. (And there were only supposed to be two deaths before the end of the season)
Locke lied about the Ana Lucia thing because he wanted her to get Fake Henry to talk again. AND because he doesn't trust Jack, who doesn't trust Henry and probably would have gone crazy had he found out. Probably brought a little Sayid action on him. But Locke DEFINITELY didn't want Ana to kill him - cause for once someone wanted Locke and played into his whole "fate" scenario. The man had big time daddy issues and needed someone to love him. Fake Henry's claim was probably all BS, that guy can play everyone's emotions like a fiddle. And besides, he didn't know Ana had a gun.
But Locke is gonna be in big trouble now, after Jack apologized and promising to be honest with each other, he still doesn't tell Jack what happened, and if he hadn't the two girls wouldn't be dead. And come on Libby has GOT to be dead she was shot 3 times!
And Kate only gave Jack a bit of an explaination... about the glue and costumes and beard. She didn't tell him the extent of what was going on in the medical hatch. And Claire knows from her flashbacks how sophisticated their medical hatch was (before it was cleaned out) and it seemed like she shared that with Kate. It's possible she didn't but one of them definitely knows. When they were going to get the guns, I'm assuming they were gonna head right over there, Kate didn't say anything like, HEY those people in tents (who Micheal is lying about anyway) are faking being dirty natives!!! So logic would say they are faking to hide what they are really capeable of. I just can't belive she was gonna head right over there without telling everyone what she saw and hello they all should talk to Claire about her memories. As Henry said these people really have trust (and communication) issues!
Remember when Jack and Sarah broke up? Didn't she say she was seeing someone else? (I forget if this happened or was just speculation, but I feel like she told Jack that she was) What if that someone else was Jack's father? Incidentally the name that Ana Lucia picked, Tom, was Kate's childhood love who she accidentally got killed when she was on the run. Also with all the connections between these folks (like Jack not operating on Shannon's dad, Sayid being in Iraq with Kate's dad, etc etc) it makes me wonder if that kid that Jack's dad had with that blond Aussie chick could be someone we know of. Did she look old enough to be Claire's mother? That's what alot of people over on the Fuselage are speculating about.
And as far as the girls having sex and then dying... I'm thinking it's a totally misogynistic virgin/whore thing, where unmarried women are punished for having sex! Ok, I'm just kidding about that one hehe... but it is kinda like a horror movie huh? They finally do it and then they're murdered... eeeerie!
and ka mai - yeah I'm way too invested in the show already (duh) so I'm afraid to get involved in that whole thing. I'd never heard of one before either and I'm way too easily led into procratination!

My roommates thought that something horrible had happened when I started repeatedly screaming "HOLY FU_KING SHIT!!! WHAT THE F___" over and over at about 9:58pm last night!
I'm surprised you guys arent talking about the obvious possible reason these two characters got killed off at the same time... the actors playing them were both arrested for DUI while working on the show recently. I bet ABC caved to pressure from anti- drunk driving groups calling for them to be fired. I mean, I wouldn't think ABC would do that, it would suck if that were the case, but after last night... ya gotta wonder!

Yea, I figure they killed them off cause of the DUI thing too. Michael won't have too much explaining to do... shot himself in the shoulder to make it look like there was a fight. They gonna get CSI on the case? I don't think so, and the ex-cop is now assumed dead.

i didnt know about the DUI thing. I hope that wasnt the reason they got killed but it the shottings did seem out of place. Those people's storylines were really starting to take shape. What happend to "Henry"?
There was an article on CNN yesterday, talking to (I think) the producer. He made it very clear that the killings had nothing to do with the recent DUIs. The storyline was written well before that happened. In fact, they contemplated changing the story for that very reason, but decided not to.
Michael let Henry go. He had to in order for his story to look authentic, plus it might have been part of the agreement with the others, if there was an agreement. Ana Lucia went in to kill him, there was a struggle, Henry got the gun, killed her, killed? Libby, and shot Michael, and then ran. I still gotta think that Libby survives though. It makes things sooooo much more interesting that way. Plus she got shot in the stomach, through a blanket. She'd be the only one that would know what really happened. I hope she lives, if only for one more episode. Hurley didn't even get to say goodbye. It's just too tragic and sudden.

Has anyone else thought of this... When they first get into the hatch Locke watches the slide show about what the "mission: was for the people sent to press the button. The guy said something about how they would be stationed there for 500 and some odd days. So wouldn't that mean that in some time ( who knows how long since the switch of the people ) that new people would be sent to press the button for the hatch and then everybody would be rescued. And you know that someone still knows about people being their because of the air drop of the food supplies.

If I recall, the Frenchmen who was "stationed" there by acident after crashing on the island said the new people never came in one of the previuos episodes.
But the company still knows people are there. They are dropping the food. It also has only been about 3 months on the island.
