No, they did have their heads up their asses. If you would have simply said Chauncey isn't hitting shit or something like that I wouldn't have batted an eye.
Getting it yet?
well chauncy was missing shots. ive seen all of the game and not once did i see their offensive game hindered by having their heads in their asses. maybe i missed it. its the same thing man. chancy is missing shots so i changed big shot into missed shot. i dont see the harm in that. no more so then say that they have their head in thei asses.
i see wade get alot of steps alot of the time he makes his higlight plays.
Hunter can tear it up?? What alternate universe are you living in? The dude hasn't shot over 37% since he's come back to Detroit. He's a good defender, that's about it. Delk is decent. Helluva bench...give me a break.
just to go back in time and adrress something i didnt earlier. hunter is the reason they are still in it. he was crucial in the game 7 win. in fact i would say he was the difference maker. he didnt put up huge numbers but his spark off the bench pushed tehm over the top. and his hardass defense helped too. you might not agree but the pistons do. and oh ya he shot 50 percent in game 7

Well, you may say he was the difference maker, but the Pistons don't since the player of the game on that link was Prince.
Yes he's had a few good games in the playoffs but as good as he has been playing, he's still only averaging 2.9 points on 35% shooting, and is averaging under 1 steal per game so it's not like he's dominating on defense.
I stand by my incredulation that you could think he tears it up.
edit: I got his playoff scoring average wrong. It's about 4.5

A helluva bench is one that has players like Corlis Williamson, Mehmet Okur, and Mike James. That was part of the bench that Larry Brown had when they won it all.
Look at Memo now, he averaged 18pts 9rb....James averaged 20 points and almost 6 assists. Maybe that's why it was easier for Brown to "work them in the system".
On that team Hunter was the 4th man in, now (2 years later which is key for a 35 year old) he's their 2nd option off the bench.

Game 3 will be huge...if Detroit can go into Miami and beat them down it might demoralize them. Not counting on it since they do have some grizzled veterans, but it would sure send a message.
well hes not playing 35 minutes a game. he was definetly a huge part of the game 7 win. and that was the biggest game of the season thus far. and tearing it up dosent have to mean offense.
but at any rate in game 7 billups shot 33 percent/ had 8 rebounds/ and 12 points in 44 minutes
hunter shot 50 percent/ 4 rebounds/ and had 9 points. and he only played 1/3 the minutes billups did(13) in fact he put up better numbers then everyone except prince. if ya go by what they did in terms of production to minutes played hunter scored the same as chauncy and rip put together. he got more rebounds then ben or sheed did.
ya they got it going tonight. game 3 will be a huge one. you know they will be coming out wanting to repay the 1st home game loss. i too wouldnt put much stake in it happening. but it would definetly be a great way to get the boys back on track. mentally as well as regaing home court
ya but hes not expected to play that much. the gauge of a bench player is production per minute. and lindsey got it done in game 7 and really made the difference. imo
i guess i just have to disagree with you and leave it at that. the pistons themselves give him props for being a huge part of the victory over cleveland. and not just inn one game. they talk about the spark he provided the whole series

In the games they lost to Cleveland he only made ONE shot. They probably could have used a spark there.
true. but as you said he is a 35 year old man coming off the bench. he cant do it every night. the starters have to step it up. they cant depend on the bench to do it every game. luckily lindsey got up for the big game and made it happen. it was the most important game of the year and he came through for them when the starters werent getting it done. ya gotta at least give him some credit. i think youve been much much harsher on hunter then anything i ever said about billups or the pistons and the finals.

Right, he is old, and all the stats I've listed are facts. I actually like Hunter, the reason I'm doing this is to highlight all the flaws with their 2nd best bench player. They have a weak bench. Period.
well you like hunter and say negative things that are facts. i am only doing the same. billups has been missing shots. flip does have a problem playing well in the playoffs with excellent teams. the pistons are in a bad spot to getting back to the finals. hunter was a huge part in the victory over cleveland. i think both of us like the pistons and are not being negative at all. that your opinion of him and thats cool.
i wouldnt call you a whiny bitch and hurt your feelings
by the way its looking like this might end up being close after all
i was tryng to figure it out. but if one of the conference finals oes 7 games and the finals goes 6 or 7 we might have a game at roo. if its pistons in game 7 at roo that will create some serious issues for me. in the past i have skipped going to see them at roo. but a game 7 i might have to jump in for the end. they should show it on one of the main stage screens
