Claire just gets on my nerves and really doesn't bring much to the table. Her background isn't very interesting and her acting is awful. I'd say Sawyer and Desmond are my favorite characters.
Jack's father is dead. Jack in the future is just crazy and doesn't know what the hell is going on.
in ther first flash forward we see of jack (i believe season 3 finale) when he is talking to the chief of surgery he says "why dont you go upstairs right now and talk to my father, and if i'm more drunk than he is, then you can fire me.." or something along those lines
and i think the eye looked like Locke, and the man in the chair was Christian, but who knows for sure.
As someone else pointed out, if there is some sort of time warp on the island, some parallel universe or time bubble, then these flash forwards may not actually be flash forwards in the time of the "real world". They are flash forwards because the Oceanic 6 got off the island, but they may possibly be before the actual date when 815 crashed. I have no idea if that's true or not, just throwing it out there.
And I still think Jacob has something to do with Locke. The last time they showed the guy in the rocking chair it looked like Locke with a wig on. So maybe Jack's dad is just hanging out with this hairy Locke looking dude. I'm convinced that Jack's dad is somewhere, somehow on the island since his casket was empty when they found it.
It's definitely a possibility, but I really hope there's no time warps, parallel universes, etc. I think the show is awesome as it is, without getting too sci-fi.

i also think sayid is a badass! who else could kill someone with his legs from a kneeling position, WITH HIS HANDS CUFFED BEHIND HIS BACK!! i love how deep and multi-faceted his character is. i am not sad that shannon got killed though...she always annoyed me.
i hated sawyer at first, he is growing on me now...but i still can't say i like him. every time i start to like him, he does something horrible. i do love the fact that he is always reading whatever he can get his hands on (judy blume, anyone??)
but desmond is the dream supreme!! i'm a sucker for long hair and an accent... *sigh*
I don't like Claire because they have made her character whiny, needy and boring. I hope this is a setup to make her more interesting... if not I am over her.
I LOOOOVEEEEE Sayid! He is by FAR my favorite character. Always has been! ;D

last night my bf and i were working on a lost puzzle from season 3 titled "the hatch." i got to the part where the washer and dryer were...and it made me remember a question i had earlier. why in the world were the washer and dryer brand new??? i was talking to nic (the bf) about it, and he said he read somewhere that they were dropped in by parachute. i don't think that's possible for several reasons...
a) if a washer and dryer were dropped from a plane (even with a parachute) they would be damaged, imo.
b) they were almost definitely recent (i.e.-after 2001 when desmond was supposed to have arrived on the island) if that is the case, how the hell did desmond drag them into the hatch by himself?? i really don't think they were pre-2001.
does anyone have thoughts on the washer/dryer?
one more thing...i seem to remember there being an old-school telephone on the wall of the hatch. does anyone else remember seeing this? if so, what do you think it was there for?
