i definitely have a soft spot for early disturbed but i hate this song.
also lead singer is maybe one of the most annoying people in music. he's like the j Cole of metal
It's worse than Limp Bizkit's Behind Blue Eyes. I don't actually think they are the worst thing coming but I do hate this cover.
Nickleback is just cookie cutter pop rock. And in that they are extremely successful. Hard to argue they are the worst when they actually are good at being trite, weightless nothing. Whereas we are sure to have at least one more example of insufferable, angsty Bush era bands.
It might make me a bad friend but I'm avoiding going out to eat with anyone that blows liquid shit in their pants with the simple mention of pork chops.
That or I'm choosing the restaurant every time so I know the menu beforehand.
The rankings really aren’t all that bad yet, I don’t think. A7 is rated too highly and probably SOAD. Some shit will eventually be fucked up especially if we end up with the 1 and 20 as the last chances. We absolutely need to strive for that unless a consensus 1 or 20 was released earlier.
Hey Teddy quick question if you’ll answer it. Did you also autogenerate the release order? I’m hoping you say no.
Let's say we leave 1 and 20 for the end. It's round 18 and Metallica shows up. Still no Tool. What are y'all doing?
Metallica hasn't had a good album since I was in middle school(a long time ago) but I don't think I could vote for them to be 20.

We should have another ex-President from Georgia. Carter is the best to ever do it by a million miles.
Just like honorable impeach them on inauguration day. Or maybe let them serve? We entered neoliberalism with a Georgian. It might take another to destroy it.

Since Esteban brought them up. The best thing about Trapt is when Left Twitter spread rumors about the lead singer shitting himself on stage and he had a complete meltdown. About that and MAGA stuff. It was hilarious.
I just think there are much worse bands than Evanescence and they're getting placed way too low. I only know a few songs but I'd consider them a decent band. I think we've had a run of artists we actually like we're forgetting how many terrible artists could still be coming up.
Also Avenged Sevenfold fucking sucks guys and I hate seeing them at #8. You guys forget they had that pro military "the troops are protecting your freedom" song. Should have probably brought that up during that round but oh well. I think Avenged Sevenfold is infinitely cringier than Evanescence
Right. There's so many of these bands that are just unlistenable garbage. Teddy is going to throw some more of that out there. Evanescence is at least mediocre. I never heard them and thought "I'd rather die than listen to this whole album." I just didn't listen to any of their albums.
And the story behind Bring Me Back to Life is uplifting and pretty sweet. So there. I'm voting 10. 12 would be fine too I think. Nevermind. 14 is a mistake I think.
And Nikki Haley literally got nearly 20% of the vote in both Maryland and Nebraska last night. Trump is consistently bleeding support from his base in actual votes. Polls are trash people.
Trump just denied rumors Haley was considered for VP. Strategically terrible move even if it makes sense for his dumbass base.
Shocked, I say. It’s not like some of us said this 2 days ago…
The NYT also has an axe to grind against Biden because he didn't agree to a recent interview request.
Which could explain their sensationalist angle but doesn’t explain some of the weird results in Nevada, Penn and Michigan. I have a lot I dislike about NYT but thought better of Nate Cohn.
I know the world is falling apart but I have an important question.
Do you guys think I could date a Libertarian without driving her crazy? Let's just pretend she's not that bad and I could deal.
Only if she does something like plant medicine ceremonies to offset her political views.
lol This is a different one. This one joked about taking a personality test and having to look up the word altruistic. Which is so fucking awesome. I think I love her.
And this is about me being a Berniebro degenerate leftist.

The north Georgia crosstab in the NYT poll is a little funky even without 3rd parties. It's soft on Trump but just past the margin of error. Biden is about where I'd expect him. Numbers are down but that's made up with time and lack of options. RFK Jr. isn't getting 7% of the vote here. That's not happening. People say that shit about the Libertarian candidate every time and it ends up at like 1-2%. So within MoE. Which isn't nothing and could turn a close election but these are kooky Right wing types. They'll end up with the GOP.
For what it's worth this part of the state is pretty damn accurate. Right about where this area landed in the last 3 Presidential elections. Granted this is likely the easiest part of the state to poll. About like asking a dog if it's wants a steak off the grill.
What matters for north Georgia is turnout. We are a big part of the GOP firewall. 5000 more people voted GOP in 2020 then in 2024, just in my shitty county. The base shows up again and Biden's numbers are down with the youth. It's over. This is why smaller polling issues like Gaza matter. You alienate the youth and activist types, not only do you lose their vote, you lose feet on the ground doing GOTV shit.
Like I preached in 2020. Alienating all those kids from BLM that went out all over Atlanta turning the tide for that election was stupid as shit. But it doesn't matter. The Dems want the suburbanites with no loyalty to them.
Honest question: does T00l get heavy play on rock radio? I've definitely heard NIN and RATM on the radio before, but I think I've only heard a radio edit of The Pot once in the wild...
I don’t really listen to radio much and have always had limited options but Atlanta rock stations definitely played Tool a good bit back in the day. Mostly the alternative rock station. Which I’m pretty sure morphed into what would be called buttrock.
People that worked for or around this beast of a b movie icon : Scorsese, De Niro, Bogdanoivich, Nicholson, Fonda, Coppola, Demme, Hopper..... American cinema wouldn't be what it is without him. He also brought foreign cinema to American markets for a good while. So much love for this man.
One of James Cameron’s first professional gigs was doing art design for Corman’s Battle Beyond the Stars.
The man was a cinematic titan. RIP.
I had his name in mind and forgot to list it! Didn't Corman encourage Cameron's idea to make that one ship look like a pair of knockers? lmao
