I can't believe no one is talking about the BCS madness that went down over the weekend. My team benefited from all the chaos, as my LSU Tigers will be in New Orleans for the National Championship. Hopefully I can get some tickets, but it's not looking good at this point.
That being said, I know there has to be some people on here who feel like their team got the job, or felt like someone else should play for the title. Feel free to speak your mind about this crazy college football season right here.
^^^^^That is quite impressive, Sly Croom is doing a phenomenal job over there. I'm glad that LSU got to play them the first game of the year, because they clearly improved by leaps and bounds by the end of the season. You got a top notch coach over there, and State is only going to get better.
^^^yeah - that is the hope - I was not sure when they hired him - but now that he has finally gotten rid of the last of Jackie Sherrill's players - it seems that he has pulled together a good team.

The BCS was all kinds of effed up this year I think... mainly because there was no obvious "best" team. Personally, I think that the two best teams in football right now are Oklahoma and Georgia... but Ohio State probably deserves to be in the game because they only have one loss. If I were picking the bowls, I'd probably want Ohio State to play Oklahoma. A good matchup I feel.
Sorry nola, but I don't really feel LSU deserved a chance to play in the championship game after losing to Arkansas and Kentucky, and their final game of the year wasn't anything too convincing in my opinion either... but hey, that's the world of sports for ya.
I just wish my Penn State lions hadn't fallen apart at the end of what looked to be a solid season...
Also, I'm glad Hawaii's going to a BCS bowl. Why? Because I will love to see them finally play a great football team and get completely demolished. Hawaii... #10 in the country? Give me a break... I bet it's a lot easier to be a QB when you have perfect weather every home game of the year and the toughest team you play is Boise State...

It HAS been one CRAAAZY year in college football...and I have LOVED every seecond of it! OK....except the ones Auburn has lost....those notsomuch But I got past that.....especially after the news today that Tommy has renewed and WILL NOT be leaving my alma mater - YES! The BEST coach in the country right now...IMBO (yes...very biased....but not untrue....opinion )
I think the BCS did the best it could do in the very flawed system with what it got feed...I mean come ON....we all KNOW that the only way it gets better is to have a playoff and NO ONE (at least that has any power in the equation) seems to be willing to do that....so we end up with the inevitable "shoulda coulda woulda beens"....at least this year we are talking about teams with at least one and two losses instead of an undefeated team getting left out all together and never having a chance! (Sour grapes? Moi? Still? Nah..... I mean not like we had 5 first round NFL draft picks that season or anything How good a team COULD we have had???)
Anyway....LSU/Ohio State was the logical call....it was the BCS's call....can't say the COMPUTER's call anymore...they kinda messed that up long ago....but hey....it's what we got till they give us something else...next season....
Former Louisiana girl here. Went to LSU, so I think they made the right call for the BCS game. Wore my purple and gold all weekend, and man some of these UT orange people here in Nashville got pissed! Geaux Tigers!

How about UK's Football season. Sorry LSU, but you still got in the game you wanted. I cant wait to see Bobby Bowden weep after another bowl loss. He needs to realize they will never have another Deon Sanders. I just like Piterno a little more.
Andre Woodson will be the best QB of the draft...Unless Tim Teboe goes too.

I was at Youngstown State in the eighties and 90's when Jim Tressel cut his teeth and brought us 5 appearances in the championship game in 7 years i think. Hard to convince me this guy ain't got what it takes.
Appearing this year is but a bonus and chance for redemption. Maybe a lackluster approach. But hey-we already took out Michigan, and we all know that's goal numero uno if u r a Buckeye !!!!
I always cheer for the SEC teams, unless they are Tennessee of course. Yes, I live in Tennessee and I hate UT. I'm hoping LSU lays a SEC style smackdown on Ohio State like Florida did last year. Other than that I'm pretty impartial, Notre Dame is obviously enjoying a nice, relaxing off season.
Screw OSU! Virginia Tech was #3 in the standings and they won the ACC Championship. How did OSU play hopscotch with their week ass schedule and make it into the BCS champ game?
they are gonna get beat worse by LSU, so bad that the Illinois loss will have looked like a 1 hour couples massage.
